Hi All, first post here in the Locomotion forum...

OK I bought Locomotion via digital download through the Trymedia web site.

Recently I decided to play it again on my new machine. So I installed the original file I downloaded. When I start the game it goes to the web to verify the game and authorize it.

Well, unfortunately the Trymedia site no longer handles Locomotion so I get a message stating that they can not find the game.

I contacted Atari and they told me that they can not find my sales info due to me purchasing from Trymedia.

I contacted Trymedia and they refused to help me because they no longer carry the game. I even sent them copies of my original receipt.

So I am a little upset at the digital download/authentication process and refuse to do it again.

Does anyone have any ideas or know someone I can contact at Atari to get my game working again?

I know I could go pirate a copy and I wouldn't even feel bad because I bought it in the first place but I hate pirates and refuse to do that.

I would think that the .176 version of a no cd patch would work for you.
i would be upset also

Good idea but it doesn't work.

Since it was a digital download it never needed a No-CD patch as I never had a CD :(

I will never buy Digital Download again. If the company drops your product, you can no longer play it. The Trymedia stuff in particular require you to be connected to the internet everytime you launch the game. I feel thats sukky for a non online game in the first place.

oWell, the joys of gaining knowledge.

I feel your pain. i bought he Neverwinter Nights pay modules and you have to be on the internet to play them even thought they are solo modules, since i only played NWN on my laptop while on the road.. it was a wasted investment.

OH AND LOOK!! IT IS ALSO ATARI!!

i think acording to your EULA, it actually says you can dl a backup if your media is unusable and you own a license.. or somthing to that nature. i think they have a decent sugestion... if you get my drift.

Yeah I'm not sure what the eula from Trymedia may be. But I guess that if I deciide I really want to play it again I will just pay the $20 and have them ship me a disk.

Thanks anyways.

I guess a mod can close this now.

Have fun all!
