This set been working on sean start my 50's diner and something you all been wait for . I give you coasterman20076 stage lights set in the set there will be stage lights that are recolorable light and normal one lights too .final released

I was will try release this set as soon get bugs out the problem have is get right light effect in the rct3 importer instead stage light effect im get A lamp effect in the game. so soon get this fix I'll release this set .If someone can help me with this problem it would be helpfull so I can releaes this set

What do you mean you get a "lamp effect"? Do you mean that it has the circular "bulb" area in the middle of the light? If that's what you mean, then when you're in the "Create Light Effect Point" window, your 'Type' should be 'No Bulb'. For the option, you'll want to select one of the custom colour options (remember to set your texture to recolorable also, and make sure they're a DIFFERENT color choice). Finally, depending on the focus of the stage light, you may want to set the radius to something smaller (if you want it to be a more focused stage light) or something larger (if you want one light to cover a lot of area).

If you post a screenshot of what you DO have in the game, we can help you out a bit more with whatever issue you're trying to fix.

That light has wayyyy too many poly's. Make the circle more more than 8 sides.

500 is really at the VERY top end of what a poly count should be, and for an object that is meant to be used in large numbers, that's really too high...especially for an object that's so relatively small. Also, is it 500 FACES or 500 polys (triangles)?

You'll get the same nice rounded effect by using far less polys and just leaving the vertices welded.

I like the idea of the stage-lights, but you shouldn't forget, that to many lights on one position have a flicker-efect inside the game.

I would recommend that you make the lights just with a glowing texture or maybe with one spot and the rest with glowing textures, which let them look like real spots.

To make things clear: a glowing texture means you use the texture style SIOpaqueUnlit. CoasterSim.Fan used it on his neon Lighting and his White Set.

Congrats on getting more stuff into the game! Just a couple things:

(1) Please consider posting your images as JPEG's instead of PNG's. Your images are only 640x480 but they're 1.5MB in size--that's HUGE. My JPEG pics on my threads are usually 800x600 and range from 75KB to 190KB in size. In most cases you can't see any difference in compression. The PNG's just take ridiculously long to load due to their high file sizes.

(2) The stage lights shouldn't have the bulb effect--just the glowing cast of light. In the importer effect points, that would be the 'No Bulb' setting for the type when you're creating your light effect point.

(3) RCT-Spanky had a fantastic suggestion about using a glowing texture for the circle face of the stage light...would you consider that still? It would be a perfect replacement for the bulb effect that I suggested you get rid of in my suggestion above.

you can try to make them with flashing textures, animated textures. just on the light part its self. That way when we have lots of lights and they flash between eachother, they will make it look like your lights are doing it!
