Hello,
my new CS in construction... The MainStreet Railroad Station from Disneyland Resort Paris (Disneyland Park).
I have finished the base with column, wall and iron sign. Special first floor base for the railroad and stairs... and pathway and sideway in the other CS

http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/476/27836795bo5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I have a little problem : there are 3 stairs for entrance, exit and panarama... where can I put them (if you have some pictures... thank you).

Nope, the VIP means that he is a Very Important Person! Or it means Very Important Project. Which are both correct! Awesome work there.

Or he meant to type [WIP]. Which is the most reasonable answer.

This is great, i love the 3 other sets/objects that you have put out.
Alot of it can be used for things other than just Disneyland Paris.

It's absolutely GORGEOUS. My only concern is with a few of your pieces. Several of your curved edges (like the archways underneath the station and the balcony on the front of the station) are VERY smooth, making me wonder the number of polys you used on those. You can really see it in the first pic of your first post, with the shading on the front balcony.

I'm heavy impressed. Your modelling skills are great. Has somebody ask this before: Which program do you use for the modelling?

Is the station roof recolourable? I'm sure a lot users want this roof use for other buildings too, when you've released it in a (hopefully not so far) future.

Eezee, I hate to say it, but I think you're right...he doesn't do anything BUT model now. And is probably in one of those ruts that I got into - once you learn to model, nothing is how you want it :P

But dare I say this...Is it possible we have found someone to carry on (and perhaps improve) on with Main Street sets?

Are those alphas? If so, how did you get them to be so perfect?

10-24-2007, 08:11 PM
(do you remenber this logo YMD ?)

Do you mean the logo on the fence/railing or the ship on the stained-glass window? I think the former is from the ironwork under Mainstreet Railroad Station but I can't remember where the ship is from (one the two Arcades maybe). I'm getting old, you know, my memory's like a sieve ;-)

Well, hmm I guess I will have a lot of enemies now and I really hate to say that, but ... at the last picture you can see, that the railing is completely modelled - I would guess, that that's way too much polygons. You should try to make the details with textures/alphas or you will suffer real soon from the lag. Besides that this set is absolutely stunning :)

RCT-Spanky
10-28-2007, 09:47 AM
I agreed with eeZee. Your modelled fences will crash our games when we use them. I know, you like the perfect touch, but you must find a compromise between perfection and lag. have a look on eeZee's Haunted Mansion fences, then you will se, that perfect fences are possible with alpha-maps too.

Your set is absolute stunning, but we want also play the game and not just create a few stunning screenshots.

30/10/2007 finalisation... it's just for fun I know that the game is really restrictive but the CS have no problem, no crash

RIGHT - FIRST OFF I WAS NOT asking for myself. I was taking the p*** out of of everyone who's ever asking impatiently. If you've ever noticed any of my past posts, I am one of the FIRST people to tell others to be patient.

SECOND I've created CS for Thiery in the past MYSELF, therefore I feel like I have the right to speak like that to him. I'm highly grateful to have worked with him in the past, and I am completely and utterly astounded at the progress he has made with his CS creation.

Now, Thiery, please don't think I'm being a rude c*** here, but some people can't take a joke - I hope you can :p

Thiery... This is just stunning!

Fantastic work... And it is nice to see that you created the fences with alphas, we are all in battle with the lag monster...

I'm also pleased to see Eurodisney come alive, since it is the only Disney park that I have ever visited (and as I live in Sweden... the only one I ever will see probably...):weird:

Merci...
