Anybody got this game? I haven't yet, as I have exams soon and don't want to be tempted to play games :P. If you have it, tell us your reviews. It looks like a great, fun game!

It's good strategic fun.
We are absolutely loving it.
A duel can range from 20 minutes to an hour +.
I think we like it because it is something different we can play together.
We have both only dabbled in other battle card games.

How does it work exactly, Bitter?

You stack your deck of 30 cards. Which is hard for me to decide strategically what cards to have, but the more we play the more I see how they play.

You get mana points each turn, thru magic, and thru death of your creatures.
Actions (attacks, spells, etc) and summoning (playing a creature card) creatures use mana. So you are limited by your mana.

You lay down cards, the "eye" recognizes them and does the appropriate thing I.E. attacks according to how that creature attacks. It then goes to the attack animations and you see what happens . The HD animations are well done, and the backgrounds change with what board you are playing.

Your whole goal is to control the board.

I guess it's like any other card battle game, like Magic the Gathering, Yugi-Oh, etc... you just get fancy visuals and sound while playing, and you don't have to do your own calculations :).

For online play, you must build and register a deck, by passing each card in front of the camera, which can be tedious. We bought a few extra elemental decks, and booster packs, and will each create a deck for home play, and then set aside 2 decks registered for online play, so we don't have to go thru that process again and again. Registering your deck prevents cheating.

My biggest complaint about the game is the soundtrack. Boring and repetitive. I wish we could use our own play list via memory card, or HDD.

So all in all, it's just like playing any strategy game (chess, checkers, magic) now with visuals, which does add a nice twist to this type of game.

I hope that answers it, Decoy.

What an interesting idea! So it's a Magice the Gathering-esque game, played online with a camera! That is very clever. I might have to look into this, it sounds like fun.

I will be experiencing an online duel tonight.
I give you my report on how it went.

[edit]

Ok, it started out crazy. So little documentation on how to play online. But once we figured out how to play, it wasn't so bad. The bad part is, the computer draws your cards, and you have to find the physical cards from your deck to play them. At first it was frustrating, because the screen images are abstract renditions of the actual card imagery . But, if you organize your registered deck into the 5 elements, it makes searching much faster. After that was figured out, you could concentrate on the game.

The in game chat function works very well, and adds an element of fun, hearing the taunts and groans of your opponent, and they can hear your evil laughter. After all, you can't slaughter without laughter :D.

So, all in all, the online play system isn't so bad after all.

I have to say that this game rules. I bought it about 3 weeks ago and have been buying booster card packs like mad. I highly recommend that you don't buy the pre-made decks that cost around 15 dollars. I made the mistake in buying the pre-made biolith 30 card deck. The thing was is that their was about 6 or 7 biolith cards out of 30! Now don't get me wrong, having the other cards are not bad but the give you basically the cards that you get when you buy the game. The game comes with 30 cards an beginners deck, and a booster pack. Each booster pack comes with 8 cards, and the general price is 4 bucks. They seem kinda hard to find.
The game play is awesome and I recommend using the tutorial just to show you how to play, don't get overwhelmed by all of the steps. The game is made very well and automatically does the steps in order. I play head to head with a friend and we have a blast. Actually i know this is totally nerd style but we have been keeping track of best of 5 series.
I have alot of doubles, triples, and even higher, but that is also a good thing. I have 2 ways to improve this game. 1. is to create a player offline to record your wins and losses, and maybe to make a player but thats being kinda greedy now. 2. this one kinda upsets me. I have only played online 5 times and lost the first three matches, the fourth match I played i was going to win on the next turn and the person quit out of the game, and the game ended. I didn't get a win, or anything else goes on the record. The opponent gets a forced exit or something like that on their record though. The whole online system works with honor points and wins losses. So my complaint is that when a person quits out the other player should get a little something. I do understand that people do drop connections and that is one variable of it, but the next game I played the same thing happened to me and it was just irritating. The Eye of Judgment is a great game and am very happy I bought it.
I could go on forever about the game so if you have any questions feel free to ask I know very much about this game

The game is awesome, and we are still playing it.

We have almost two complete sets of cards, and Series 2 is coming out either this month, or next. Buy your booster packs on eBay. Most people sell them at regular price, plus shipping. We have found a couple good deals on sealed cases of booster packs.

They also recently overhauled the Honor Points system. It used to be if anybody quit the game, you each got points. When this was the case you would get tons of people who would play for a short time and quit.

whoa a series 2! Do you know what it is called or how many new character/spell cards they will make? How much would a good deal run you on a sealed case?
Question for you, how do you kill that guy Didi or Di Di. hes that fire guy that looks exactly like He-Man.
