Can't get Silverfall to run

Don't know if anyone can help me here. I tried installing Silverfall and when i ran the game it simply quits at the splash screen and gives a windows error message.

I installed and uninstalled three times.
I 'cleaned' up my hard drive.
I defragged prior to installation
I turned off my virus program during installation.
I tried copying the disk materials to my hard drive prior to installing on the last installation.
I've updated all my video and DX drivers.

I am running:
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Page File: 387MB used, 3552MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

with a Radeon X50 XT.

Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions other than atari should be shot for cruddy customer service?

Are you sure about the the X50 XT? Attach a copy of your dxdiag here.
