Please, welcome to the magical world of Greenwood Valley, currently there's only a waterpark, but that could change soon...

As you can see, the roof still has to be finished. Also an outdoor pool is being added. Not much to say, as a storyline and further explanations will be started in the next post.

See this as a little teaser for the thread!

Greetings Plahiaat

Criticism and ideas are very welcome!

More tomorrow...

Where did you get your inspiration from?

plahiaat

The got inspiration for the swimmingpool when I looked to a picture of a waterpark from a hotel in disney. (I guess the david crocket one...)
Thanks for the reply!
But euhm... Do you like it?

Warning: some of you guys have seen this (kinda) pictures from my last Velocity Views Thread! I promise you I've started again from scratch to improve everything!

A indoor water park - great idea! But isn't it difficult to build slides when the area is covered?

This is a picture from my old park (but it is pretty much the same):

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff282/plahiaat_photos/Shot0003.jpg

You can see that the 3 biggest slides are located outside and only 1 small slide inside.

The outdoor waterpark will have 2 very big slides! But that's for later...
(next weekend I guess...)

A very exciting drop: up to 3 small levels high! "The drop"

I'm sorry there are still white bars on the picture but sometimes when I hit control+u my computer blocs!

Tomorrow I will show you another teaser, but this time it will be from the parks second coaster: "..."

The park is still looking for a name:
maybe you guys have an idea of a medieval, mythical, tale of ... I hope you understand wat I mean! (Oh forgotton: woody :D )

Do you like the logo of the park? (Not the waterpark but the whole park, this meanes waterpark and normal park)

Warning: This was my first photoshop project ever so if you have a hint or something to comment, please do so!

^ I'm very sorry but you will have to wait a little longer because I'm going to finish the waterpark and the entrance of the waterpark first! Currently I'm working on the logo for the waterpark and some signs... The name will be Greenwood Bubbles but if you can find a beter (original or not) name I will be very pleased and honoured to use it! ;)

Any questions, ideas, comments?

It (logo) looks nice, but I really think the 'R' sign is unescessary. Use the David Wlash to remove menus; I don't want to keep reminding you :haha: (jk).

Looks like a good start so far. Like it was stated earlier, nothing with a "Whoa" factor yet, but that could change.

Might I offer a suggestion. Plan for the supports of your indoor waterpark roof early...or you may run into some problems. Especially if you're going for that realistic factor.

I'm facing a huge problem on this very moment:

Recently I've been working on my park but after sometime, 30-45 minutes the computer crashes. I've not been able to solve the problem so I had to save every minute because it could be the last... My park has now 4 rollercoasters ( double woody, small woody, corkscrew coaster) , a splash and 2 thrill rides, but I'm not able to show you them because today I wanted to take pictures and my computer crashed (yes, again!) and it is not able to start again. My computer is brand new and has Windows vista. The only custom scenery I've been downloading is shyguy, steelworx and Marnetmars Leftozers. I've never had problems with software this bad... I didn't download anything else on the computer (not even music...).

It (logo) looks nice, but I really think the 'R' sign is unescessary. Use the David Wlash to remove menus; I don't want to keep reminding you :haha: (jk).

When I hit control U my computer crashes... Nothing to do about it! I
would just LOVE to take them without that (ugly) bar but I just can't!

To cp_diva : Thank you for the idea, but I think I will place my support in one part of the bridge and the other in the middle of the pool with a rock around it ore something like that! I'm not going to build this park to give you guys the "whoa" feeling because I love to create coasters and lay-outs of attractions and I don't want to spend 4 days theming a single coaster, this park will look like a normal everyday themepark (but don't worry, I pay enough attention to detail to give you guys just a little bit more than a normal park, you will see...

If anyone on this forum faced similar problems with rollercoaster or custom scenery please tell me! If anyone knows a problem, can help me just a little bit, you would really save my day! (and not only my day because I'm getting desperate!)

If it's CS then it's how you installed it. Otherwise it's just Vista being Vista.

Have you tried tweaking the name of the RCT3 folder in 'My Documents'? Then, you can reinstall the game. I've tried it like 3 times so far, it works perfectly (but i'm not saying it will for you).

I have Vista too but I have never had a problem with anything, including RCT3. It was the first thing I installed so I don't know if that has anything to do with it? Don't really know what to suggsest, have you used the compatiblility mode, worth a shot. Hope you sort it. Love the park, I can never do massive buildings. Needs patience!

I just love this pool!

Thank you for all the reactions so far! I'm now trying to fix the problem. When I !reinstall! RCT3 (which means I'm going to loose the park) I'm going to add all the CS sets one by one and play them each time, maybe like this I can find the problem, but I think it will be steelworx or shyguys space set that's on the origin of the problem.

Thanx Sandalfon, I really like the pool too! Thats why I've been rebuilding it from scratch but apparently I'm not that lucky to be able to keep it!

To Kingveverain : I already changed to compatibility mode a few times and it just doesn't change my bad luck!

To Xcelerate: wat is tweaking?

Thank you guys for replying and trying to help me out! There is one thing for sure: this thread won't close! I will reinstall RCT3 and maybe build a "new" park but greenwood is going to live, I had some great (excuse me) ideas and I wont leave them under my bed!

Have an nice day! (with a good working RCT!)

As my computer is readdy again for some serious RCT3 gaming, I have a request: Does anyone have an old RCT3 park he doesn't play anymore or he want's to sell? Pleace reply to this thread and we can arange a deal. Mr. Plahiaat is looking for a new challenge and media stunt: "Total park makeover!" He will, in only 5 seasons make an old park suitable for big bussiness! Any volunteers, reply or/and PM me!

Some things you have to know:
- Parks with only a little or no CS please, this is because my computer has had some problems with it and I don't want him crashing within two weeks!
- Parks made in custom scenerio will be taken before parks in sandbox

I hope I'm back in RCT3 action soon!

I'm srry, it's just that my old parks either suck (most of thm haven't even been finished! of they have too much CS) or cause too much lag. Merry Christmas!

Edit: okay, I will send in one of my parks...if Rapidshare can work for you. The park is generic themed with arches and glass being it's architecture. It's name is Lakewood Park and it's very unfinished. Okay, here are the CS you will need (I think. Also make sure you have Soaked):

1. Vohdin's Light Kit-V2
2. Klinn's Frameworks and Arches
3. Vohdin's Girders and Glass
4. Shyguy's Fences

Please PM me if you have any problems, thanks!

Thanx, I will try to download them, but since I had many problems with CS I will be very careful with installing it. This could take a while, but I will certainly do it! THX again!

I'm very sorry but this thread can be closed. The parks that were displayed in this thread were made with CS (I think hangar 51) that caused my computer to crash! I'm now working on another computer with a park started by Xcelerate. I have now up to 3 seasons-updates ready and I'm uploading the pics! I think the thread will start on saturday or sunday...

I would love to see you all back then, because this time we will be travelling to heart of Londen, UK!
