Nope, haven't seen it, cause it is not available in English (though it will be soon) on DVD. No there is not a topic about it either, since it is licensed, feel free to talk about it.

I know it has something to do with Host Clubs, which are sort of like Hooters, but for the ladies, in Japan.

One of the shows I have seen (Nerima Daikon Brothers) features this kind of hang out.

I did see some people dressed up like the show (I think) mostly guys with Purplish Pink High School Jackets, at Sakuracon this year (before I moved to Texas, I used to live near Seattle).

I saw it. Haruhi rules. It's hilarious, but I doubt localizing it would be a great idea.

Host clubs are places where male hosts cater to female audiences. It's a part of the water business.
