2007 The Year In Review for Anime

So with all the anime that came out this year new (and anime like shows), which were your favorites?

Mine was Guyver Bioboosted Armor. I also was glad to see a new season of Avatar. :D

Well since you mentioned it, Guyver was pretty darn cool.

I think my favorite show has to be Mushi-Shi though.

Of course some of the people on this board may think that shows that just came out in the US on DVD are actually kinda old now.

Technically Guyver is from 2005, so is Mushi-Shi.

I also enjoy the Death Note series on Cartoon Network, it seems like more of a thinking person type show. Death Note is a bit more recent since it ran in 2006-2007 in Japan.

Is this limited to DVDs or I can say any anime from 2007?
If so, then my choice goes to Code Geass (it aired most of the episodes in 2007, so I guess it counts).

The only new anime I saw this year was Death Note. Bleach was too far to be considered for this year. So my vote is to be Death Note.

well you can say whether its a DVD or tv release. All that matters is that it came out this year. If its a DVD then it should be like brand new and not seen by the public before. Like with the Guyver series I was mentioning, it hadn't been released on tv here and was in Japan in 2005. So coming this year, it was pretty impacting and a favorite of mine. :)

Gurren Lagann & Code Geass, both of which will be available soon on DVD in Amerikkah.

Actually Code Geass is going to be on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim Anime block. It sounds pretty interesting.

As far as Gurren Lagann is concerned, I am sort of a giant robot fan, so I will be sure to check that one out!
