Negima is fantastic. It's alot better than the animated series, of which there have been two entirely diseperate interperetations. The first, simply titled Negima! was pretty poor, the second, Negima!? (The one these videos are from) is a vast improvement.

I think there might be a mecha or two in it, but no - I made a post about it in the anime discussion forum but it's basically (kind of an abused word here but off to the lions it goes) a sort of school life drama set against the backdrop of an impending alien invasion as one of the alien commanders, who's been posing as a human ever since her ship crash landed on a scouting mission, has been having a serious crisis of conscience about both the loss of most of her crew and the whole conquering humanity business in general. So - a bit of drama, romance, mystery, spaceship combat...

The spaceships and music are both really beautiful too, but that's easy to see. What's not is that the ship in the OP can also do one heck of a whale impression.

You mean the one with *Blonde* Hari, or the one with *Grey/Silver* Hair? I think it's a great anime, once you get past the fact that EVERYONE is a lesbian. They don't even really introduce it well, but once you get past the Non-existent Introduction, the Body and Conclusion are really done well.
