Do you think the battle system should be based on current releases, or take a new style. I was reading on wikipedia for D.O.N, they are using a fairly new style in the fighting.
"Unlike other fighters, D.O.N uses a combined health gauge, that is, decreasing the health of one player will in turn increase the health of the other players. Thus, in order for one player to win a fight, they must make their own health bar take up the entire bar. As such, a fight can potentially last indefinitely if no time limit is set."
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Stadium_D.O.N (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Stadium_D.O.N) )
What do you think?
Also, what are your thoughts on story mode, should it be more interactive or purely based on the real story.
p.s.sorry if this is alrady a thread, but i looked and didnt find ones that were the same. please tell me if one is already out, thanks.

That actually sounds like a pretty kool idea for a modern DBZ game...
I know DBZ: Legends has something similar to that (it's a great game, as well: 3 on 3 battles are a blast)

yes dbz legends good game. just think its exactly like that except with suped up graphics and ultimate moves :bulb:. the online play will be awsome if it was like that. i can see it now when u focus on someone the camera will changeto battle mode as seen in budokai series then, when unfocused it would be somthing similar to tenkaichi. 3 vrs 3 sounds to good i wouldn't put to much faith in Dimps:(

well D.O.N. has been out for a LONG time.. but now that i think about that, the fights in that game that i have with my buddies last FOREVER with the timer ticketed off, i mean i have had matches last up to an hour and 12 minutes.. we recorded the whole thing... dont ask.
but it would be a cool idea to see that put into a new dbz game the more i think about it

It probably wouldnt be TOO bad just remember in high level play in the Budokai games your either poking to manage meter[Thus barely moving that sort of lifebar at all] or landing a massive brutally devastating cancel combo doing 2-4 bars
Heres a match vid i picked randomly from Gogetas list.Hes probably the best in the world right now and his opponent is top 10 maybe top 5

Now try and imagine the difficulty in keeping the advantage long enough to do that sort of damage when players are close in skill. It would be even worse for low level players with limited cancel combo experience who likely will NEVER do more than a single bar in damage
