Hi Everyone! For my park, Bohemian Bay, i am doing a liberty section and came across this model of the statue of liberty for google sketchup. I have tried to make custom scenery before, but it nevery really turned out right. Do you think anyone might want to use this model and make it into a custom scenery item for me? And it would not just be for me, it would be for everyone to use. I understand if no one can do this but i just had this suggestion, and though that someone might want to make this for everyone to use. (BTW: i tried to make it into a custom scenery item myself, but after playing around with it for at least an hour, nothing happened) Thanks in advanced in anyone wants to take on this task. If you cant, i truely understand. Thanks and the link for the model is below.
(PS: I VERY much understand if no one wants to do this)

It's a nice looking model - very detailed, and therein lies the problem. The recommendation is to try to stay around 500 faces per tile. This object alone has almost 39,000 faces. It's just not usable in the game.
A Statue of Liberty would be cool to have, but it would need to be something much, much simpler, using textures rather than the model to show the detail.

Thanks wabigbear for checking it out and responding so soon. I had an idea. What if you removed the pedistool part from the statue and only left "lady liberty" it would be easy to make a pedistool in RCT3, but i think their would still be too many faces but mabyee could you check it out? Thanks SOOOO much for all your help! I REALLY appriceate it!

That might remove a few thousand faces, but its still too unrealistic. Plus, only you could use it, as it cannot be distributed without the maker's permission.

Even if you removed the pedestal it would still have about 23-35,000 faces far far to many for the game to handle.

ytivarg: I like the Statue of Liberty for RCT3 but we can trying to make a low poly. RCT2 wacky world have the Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco.
I went to New York City for summer vacation on last August 2007 to visit my uncle for his birthday. I am enjoy went on boat to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island then boat back to New York City and check it out see the Merrill Lynch Bull Statue "changing bull" on South Broadway, NYC.

To my knowledge their exist an "Lady Liberty"-object for RCT3. It was created by YesMyDear for birou's Titanic Movie (and can seen there), but it was never released for the public (maybe because of the high polycount).
But I think, a lowpoly version is possible ;)

(all 37000+ polys, runs fine but there are to many for the importer to work out correctly...) (ignor the lack of texture as well, it was only a test)

I think with a few good textures you could reduce the whole statue to less then 1000 polygons or more.
