Somebody Please Help me!!!!!!

Ok, when I download the custom scenery, it works and I have all of the files, but thats not the true problem. I really need help here guys. Ok, I know where to put the downloaded scenery and all that stuff, but I really need help because I cannot find the file STYLE in my RCT3 folder. Can somebody please help me?

P.S. I know that in the file STYLE, there is another file called, THEMED. I am sorta confused about that part too because if someone does help me solve my problem, will THEMED be in the file STYLE? Thx guys.


P.S.S. The only time I could get to STYLE/THEMED was when I extracted the compressed file and right click the contents and pressed open with..., I then pressed browse, then I clicked on RCT3/STYLE/THEMED, but I couldn't move the files there. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

you can't find the style folder? did I understand this?

If so... did you try searching "all files and folders" for style

Ok, I searched all files and folders for style, and it came up with all the downloads I had tryed to place into the folder style. What should I do now?

I suppose you could create the file "style" under C:/Program files/atari/rollercoastertycoon3
and in that folder... create a file titled "themed"


but first I would recommend copying your entire Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 file and pasting it in "My Documents"

No, you cannot "create" the folder- it already exists. Doing so might harm your computer and prevent RCT3 from ruinning at all...


What's missing here is some vital information:

What computer do you have? Windows or Mac?

What system are you using? Windows XP? Windows Vista? OS10?

Have you checked your user rights to see if you have permissions to access these Program Files? You may not be allowed if someone else "owns" the computer.

Have you looked through your Help files for finding files and folders on your computer (Windows, press F1 (I think it's still that....))

Yes that's it... when you're an administartor in vista you have to accept all sorts of things to move to program files.... let the administartor of your comp to move them.. Or if it's you, right click on the themed folder and press "run as an administrator".

If you do not understand how to even get into your themed folder, Cs is clearly not for you.
sorry to say it but you've either got an illeagal version of the game, a faulty game (which is most unlikely) or youve deleted some important folders.

EDIT: i just read a little more of your post, sounds like ur not an administrator, in which case u need to log on as ur adminstrator and do it, or get ur addminstrator to do it for you, OR become an adminstrator

*sign* follow dar_sides directions if you have premission to log on as an administrator (depends on if it's your computer or your parents). Othervise right-click and "run as an administrator".

I downloaded nuclear fish's particle effects and put it into stlye and themed from program files.Here is the problem. when I go to click on them in the game it shows a hour glass and then my game shuts off and pops up a no svd error thing. I have all of the rct3 games(rct3,soaked, and wild)

Isn't there a way to search for those folders? Use help on Vista and confirm how to do that, if the game works the folders ARE there.

I did that

i put the set in stlye/themed and then opened the FWR file and put each of the six in particle effects and it still shuts off,,

would it work if I put the six particle effects in the fireworks folder

Coastereman, if you dont have a themed folder, then u shouldnt have access to any walls, including slate (in-game) walls and buildings, check if u can use buildings in rct3, if u can, u have a themed folder
