Textures have to be the size 256x256, load them in your modeler. I dont know how to use SkethUp UV Mapper so its best to ask someone who knows. Belgabor has made a importing tutorial, check it out >> Link (http://rct3.sourceforge.net/tutorials/beginner_tutorial.html) ;)

To get it into sketchup, save the texture on your computer somewhere you can find it, click file in sketchup and go to "Import". A window will open. On the edge of the window will be some radio buttons, click the one that sais "Texture" and then find your texture in that box. press open. a sheet will apear in skechup with your texture on it, plce in on one of the faces in your modle and then use the eye dropper tool from the materials window to aplly it to all the neccesary faces. Sorry I don't explain it very well but for a better explanation go to http://www.chaosxtreme.com/rct3/totorial_main.html , click getting started and then the notepad logo next to "first object tutorial".
Edit: ^You beat me!

Inspiration Gallery and The Fat Strawberry also have some great textures. The Inspiration Gallery, in particular has a fabulous collection of seamless marble textures and a lot of architectural textures. I use them all the time in my other projects. http://www.theinspirationgallery.com/

Why dont you make seperate objects that you can use to make the building in the game. If you import that building it will be laggier then seperate pieces.

Nice start on your first model. It looks good. I don't know anything about sketchup, so I'm only able to offer kudos to you for getting as far as you did:D

Not true, exactly. if you made the single building correctly, removing hidden faces, the it will be much more efficient than one made with pieces. After all the faces on the edges of all those wall sections, plus the extra visible faces that exist simply because there are 2 or 3 wall sectons placed next to each other to make the same size wall he's got above- well, the sectional system is more laggy.

More scenery designers should start making complete storefronts and generic box shells- it' would be a nice change...

Vodhin, this is his first model and he doesnt even know how to texture it. I think removing hidden faces is a little advanced for him yet.

Well, even if he didn't remove the hidden faces in his model, it would still turn out less than if made with sections (provided the model is sime enough, which it looks as if this is the case.
