From Wiki
North America
Animax has sponsored several anime-based events across North America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_America), including hosting an anime festival, in association with other anime distributive enterprises such as Bandai Entertainment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandai_Entertainment) and VIZ Media (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIZ_Media), across Sony's San Francisco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco)-based entertainment shopping complex Metreon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metreon) in October 2001, during which it aired numerous of its anime titles across the centre, including special Gundam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gundam), The Making of Metropolis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_%282001_film%29), and Love Hina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Hina) screenings. [20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animax#_note-5)
The noted international business newspaper The Financial Times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Financial_Times), reported, in September 2004, of Sony planning and being "keen" to launch Animax across the United States and North America, after Sony had signed an agreement with the largest cable company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cable_television) in the United States, Comcast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comcast), with whom it had co-partnered in a US$4.8 billion acquisition of legendary Hollywood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood) studio MGM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer), to bring at least three of Sony's television networks across the region.[21] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animax#_note-6) [22] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animax#_note-7)
On June 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_13), 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007), Sony Pictures Television International officially announced that Animax would be launching its mobile television service, Animax Mobile, in Canada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada) from July 2007, on Bell Digital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Mobility)'s mobile phone service.[23] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animax#_note-spti-animaxmobile) This would be Animax Mobile's third major expansion, after initially launching the mobile television service in Japan from April 2007 and Australia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia) from June 12, 2007. Both parts of the show should be availible in boxed sets very soon on DVD.
Plus if you like individual discs, they are availible at $14.99 each.
