Hi

I'm trying to get custom scenery into the game which I have made in sketchup and exported with the rct3 importer.

Here is a pic of my screen with the files after using the importer

In the "themed" folder I made a new folder called metal box and within it i pasted these files>

How come the custom scenery doesnet show up in the game? what am I doing wrong?

You need to install it with the importer, otherwise it won't work.

Only the importer's "Install" button can add scenery to the game. you cannot simply drop in the OVL files, since they are just the model. The game needs other data: icons, text names, text references, placement settings, size, default colors, and other things that happen when you click the install button.

Everything you need to get started has already been painstakenly written out for you already in many different tutprials, and Belgabor's page has a good list of the important stuff - follow this link: http://belgabor.vodhin.net

EDIT: Speak of the devil :p look at his signature above for all his links :D

I dont think you should have an ase file in the themed folder.

It usually doesn't hurt, but isn't particularly useful either.
