Does anyone know if there is actually a real life driven vehicle transport industry?
I have heard of people getting paid fairly large amounts by driving porsches etc to Spain/Europe from the UK?

Yes there is such a thing in real life. I used to work for a company that delivered special order cars to dealerships. I actually made pretty good money for getting to do something I enjoyed, driving and jammin' out to good tunes! :D

Was it in Europe?
What was the name of the company as google didn't come up with much and was the pay as good as in tdu?
Thanks for the reply

No, it was in the United States...Colorado to be exact. And, I don't know how much the game "pays" but I was making really good money for the time I was doing it. (Mid 80's)

I'd do it too, but only with a paper bag on my head. :p

I got to drive some really cool cars. I drove a Cadillac from
Denver to Salt Lake City. Then I took a Jag from SLC to Phoenix! If I remember right, I was making about $1000 per trip, with everything paid. (Gas, motel, food, munchies)

When I was younger there was a thing we called "driveaways", where people going down south from Canada would get their car driven down to Florida or California, while they flew down themselves. A couple of my friends used to do this. Then with the money, they would look for a good used desert/rust-free car to drive back and sell.
Searching for the term on Google seems to suggest that this still happens.
