Traffic Light Races

Anyone have a story of racing someone at a traffic light? Im sure you have all experienced them?

Once my dad pulled up in his Maserati at a traffic light and this guy in a small Mazda wanted to give him a go..and just after the traffic light the 2 lanes merged into one

As the light went green my dad put foot flat and the wheels couldnt grip the road but wen they did he flew past this other guy..but right up till they merged the ricer in his Mazda wasnt giving up!

I toasted a ricer in a older model civic DX from a stop at a intersection.. of course, I had my bro's Dodge Ram at the time which has a flowmaster so I just love making it growl.. little ricer guy thought I was egging him on and revved his fart cannon, light turns green, bye bye civic.

There seems to be something about ricers thinking they're fast. I actually raced and beat (nay, thrashed!) a civic with primer body kit and fart can in my '90 Astro. Yes, my Chevy minivan showed a ricer just how sad they really are. Of course, I had the high-output 4.3L V6, 700-R4 ******, and a Posi rear axle (thank you towing package!), so it wasn't really a fair fight, but still funny as hell.

i remembered me and a friend both pulled up to a light and started revving are engines, jokingly and on the other side of both of us was a murcielargo, and when the light turned green the lambo went shooting down the road, while we were going only 40:)

Ive got a few.

Me and my dad were at a traffic light (obviously) in our 2001 Hyundai XG300. A 350z riced out pulls up and starts reving his turbocharged V6. Our XG300 has a 3 liter DOHC V6 and only puts out 192hp. So my dad puts the car into Manual Mode (its got a Shifttronic 5 speed, google it) and waits for the green. We thought we were going to get smoked. Green hits and we both launch into the back seat as 192 horses propel the 3,604 pound sedan into the lead. We completly smoke the Z by almost 3 full car lengths. So much for a tuned 350z...cocky maybe?

Ok...So this Chevy Astro pulls up next to us and starts reving. We are in this 1997 Chrysler Town and Country, with the 3.5 Liter V6 pushing around 230hp. Lets just say ive never seen our purple van move so fast. Come to find out that the astro is still sitting there with a smoking engine and the driver pissed off. I cracked up...It was sooo funny.

Lol, I have way to many stories.... here are a few examples.

In our '07 G35x we smoked a '90's Honda Prelude on a LONG strip before a highway with no traffic. His fart can was pissing my dad off and the guy took of (as fast as a prelude can i guess), and then my dad punched it, we were right up with the guy then flew by him, it looked like he was stopped we were going so fast!

Alot of random races with our Altima SE-R, we smoked a Mercedes SLK AMG (newer one), BMW 335i coupe, BMW M3 (2004 I think), and i don't remember any more right now... lol
