Hi. I'm an Atari n00b in North America and I'm thinking about buying an Atari 1040 STE from someone in Holland. Would I have any problems with NTSC vs PAL, and if so, is there a way to fix or get past them? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! :)
EDIT: By the way, I don't have an Atari monitor so I'm planning to connect it to the TV from the RF output.

Yes, you have two issues - one is power (different power standard), the other is PAL. You'll either need a PAL to NTSC converter box or just get an ST monitor. For the power issue, you'll need a step-up transformer, but make sure the plug input is the same shape as whatever the plug is on your STE.

Thanks a lot for replying! :D
Would a cable like this (http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12032) or this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-St-520-1040-A-V-Moniotor-2-TV-Cable-NEW-ALL-13PIN_W0QQitemZ350026556079QQihZ022QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem), that connects an Atari RGB output to a TV composite input, let a PAL Atari work with an NTSC TV? (The RGB output usually connects the Atari to the monitor.)

If you're using the monitor signal you're not using a the PAL output.
