YU YU HAKUSHO

its been a long time since i've watched this anime and i just remembered it....its simularities with DBZ was fairly amusing but it had its own flair and style. Just wondering who's seen it and have a little discussion about the not as famous anime from the DBZ era.

@holy_jumbo its a good anime to watch as its not too long and if you've watch'd dbz then you can see some likeness in some parts and im not too sure but i think it was voiced by the same people as theres some1 that sounds a little like vegeta, someone like Frieza and someone that sounds like Gohan.

theres a bit with the main character grabs a guys hand to stop him killing and more his friends and his friends watching the fight say 'he's gone Super'..which is pretty much the same thing that happend on namek with goku.

also the spirit finger looks like a kamehameha wave on occasion (altho sometimes looks like a ball, like it does as well sometimes), theres a king yemma, afterlife, a blue hair'd girl thats a little like bulma supplying gagets, a dragonfist thing but made out of black fire, someone with tiens 3rd eye.....

well you get the picture....=]

I've been planning to watch it for a while, but since its over 100 episodes, I'll probably wait until summer to start it =/

its a fairly addictive series to watch and its cut up nicely into story arcs, you could just watch an arc and stop for a while and then continue later or you could wait till summer and sit through a marathon of episodes =]

tbh i havent watched all if it yet as being in the uk anime's arent as popular and easy to get hold of other than on the internet or overseas buying involved imo =[[

This is a pretty intense anime from what I have seen of it. I haven't seen all of it, but it puts in mind like Bleach meets DBZ.

Personally, I believe BLEACH has more similarities to YuYu Hakusho than DragonBallZ. Nonetheless, I do think that YuYu is a very good story, albeit I haven't actually seen it in years now. I never got to see all of it, since it was that time when Toonami never showed the ending to a series, so you would be compelled to purchase the DVD to find out how it ended.
