Just scene three new Anime i'd like to recommend

1.) Fooly cooly
2.) Hakkenden
3.) Death note

I would discuss them abit but don't want to be a spoilers, they're are very unique anime, and really intesting, I highly recommend them.

So what is Hakkenden? Never heard of it...

I watch Death Note every Saturday on Cartoon Network, and have seen parts of FLCL (still have not figured out what the heck was going on).

IMO there is a better show by Gainax (the makers of FLCL) about "growing up" (which is what people say FLCL is about). It is called Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. It was on the G4 channel back when they had their anime block. You can find the DVDs of the show for about $40 (thin-pack).

Hakkenden: Is a very underground anime that laid the foundation for many anime we see today... It was originally based off a Japenese story which essentially for them it was the equivalent of the Lord of The Rings, here in the West... so very instrumental work, story line is kind of complicated, but it's only 13 episodes so they make it a lot more straightforeward than in say the oringal written work.

Also it's very Japenese... the people look like people from japan, it's not americanized or altered to appease the masses. The culture is the culture of japan, it's just straight up 100% all natural japan style.

If you can find it should be pretty fun to watch I enjoy it.
Anyway It's really good so far i'm onl ike 3 episodes in out of the 13, and am enjoying it, very unique, and has really cool characters, each one with very different personalities.

Not sure where you wil be able to find it, but i'm sure you can look around.
