I've waited over a month for atari support, I still can't run TDU digital download on my computer cause it asks for a CD.

Patch requests I need a CD with digital download version. So no play for me unless the come out with another patch for me.

Ok I tried contacting Atari several times over the last 2 months with no reply. I purchased and downloaded this game with hopes to play, well apparently my computer is to advanced or something to run this game as it will not launch. With patch, it asks for the original "Test Drive Unlimited" CD. WTF?? Digital Download version needs a CD...
I'm very close to writing a letter to the Atari heads to complain about their poor customer service and tech support not to mention spending money on something that my system meets and beats the requirements but won't run.
I looked over a few posts with almost simular problems but with no real solution but with the same "Try downloading it again" I have. Same problem every time. Won't launch without patch and asks for CD with patch.

I am running a 8600GTS (600+ megs version)
Dual core intel processer
3 gigs of ram
Current up-to-date updates on all drivers
Vista Pro

Note: I can play recent games such as Hellgate: London

You need to activate your game before applying the patch. You should be able to launch the game without patching.

I played with no problem for about a month then, arbitrarily, SecuROM asks for my activation code again. Now I haven't been able to play for over a week!!:pout: I have entered my code again and it says it is invalid, this is the same code I entered after purchase with no trouble for about a month.

I just sent a second request to Atari for help with this, I am betting their CSR's don't know their ass from the hole in the ground as-is usually the case, I am looking to find Regional Management or Executive contact information to resolve this promptly.:alien:

I am also giving Atari about 3 more days to respond with a solution or I am opting to report this obvious disregard for digital responsibility to the Better Business Bureau and State Attorney General as this is ridiculous and should not happen, especially since I already activated this game and played with no issues for a month!!

What more can you do? If you ask for help and they don't answer or respond then step up, go over customer service heads as high as necessary.

I am sorry to hear of your woes. I am having the same problem too with the digital download version, and I contacted Atari twice and I have yet to hear from the. I have a fairly decent gaming rig. I too am running the Windows Vista Home OS. Apparently, there may be an issue with something inside of the folders of the digital download. I love this game so much that I actually shelled out 20 bucks for the actual PC DVD version, and I am now able to play TDU.

I am working through SecuROM at the moment to find out what the deal is. I will update once I get a response. ;)

Just for sake of display to how inadequate :weird:Atari has been on the support side, I received my first response from SecuROM within 24 hours:up:. Second response was the same so hopefully something gets fixed here.

If nothing else I am hoping Sony/SecuROM will contact Atari through higher channels to get it fixed. I am Jonesin' for my TDU play time. Been over 3 weeks now!!!:bulb:

I already paid once and am not going to pay twice for the game, albeit a great game, this is about principals now, for me.
