I made a CS and made the unbrella strips recolorable with 3 paint buckets but only one paint bucket colors all the strips but I wanted each one to color a few of them. What am I doing wrong?:weird:

Well I don't think that's using the same program I am so here's what I did,
in the object importer/create OVL I put in 3 textures without using "advanced".
The first one I made it the first paint bucket, the second one the second paint bucket, and the third one the third paint bucket.
than I put the first color on one section I wanted recolorable, than the second color on another, and the third color on another.than after I did everything else for the importer I needed to do, it came out like this. Only the black ones are recolorable. What am I doing wrong?

The texture must be set up as described in that tutorial- the importer and RCT3 need that type of set up (RGB) for the colors to be changeable.

Try this ,
Go to options Where you put the texture in
before pressing continue / ok
Go to this option

Yes, that tells RCT3 that the texture is colorable. BUT, the texture MUST BE recolorable in the first place, following those steps to create a colorable texture as outlined in the tutorial. A regular texture is NOT recolorable on it's own, and you must edit the texture to make it re-colorable in a specific way.

I haven't made any recolorable CS in a long time, so how do you do RGB?
I did the same thing for eack recolorable texture in the importer with red, green, and blue but only one of them are sucsessfully recolorable. That's basicly what I'm comfused on.

That's what I did but only one color is recolorable in the game for some reason.

The tutorial I posted explains the process- your colors are probably not "pure" (there might be a bit of red in the blues, for example) and perhaps you are not using PNG files types? (There is a way to do it with bitmaps, but it's really more difficult as you have to mess with the color palette the image is using: twice as much work in the long run, if not more)

I'm using PNGs, and I think this is what I'm supposed to do with the program I'm using, but what do I put in these boxes?

Those totorials you guys sent me aren't bad, it's just that I have a much different picture editing program than in the totorials so it dosn't have the options to do that kind of stuff.

no, you have Paint Shop Pro- the same one I use. Those are the color settings for making a new drawing, or for tinting with the "Change To Target" brush (but that doesn't work 100% you will probably still need to purify the sections - see below).
Try this. Below the color palette, there are the layers in the image (you will have to save the image in the native PSPIMAGE file format in the File > Save As menu and the save it again back to a PNG).
Right click on the actuve layer and choose duplicate (just to make a copy to work on and save the original). Select the new duplicate and then turn it to greyscale, then colorize it to red or green or blue.
You can also use the Change To Target brush (somewhere in the brushes palette- check for Dodge/burn- it's in that set) and then paint parts of the image to a specfic shade.
You can use the selection tool to work on only certain sections of the image (good for multi-color designs)
And you can do what I recommend in the tutorial, making three copies of the layer and erasing the sections that are not needed for the specific color choice.
No matter how you do it, the next step is critical: Removing the other RGB color components from that section. Click the Adjust menu then on Color, and then on Red/Green/Blue. That will give you the window I use in the tutorials for lowering the unwanted values to nothing in the final.
