View Full Version : [WIP] - Fatamorgana Queueline
Remarkable

Hello all,
Finally I have some time to continue working on the Efteling, and so I began making the walls and arches for the queueline..
here are some pics..

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj217/Remarkable_forums/rct3/FataQueue1.jpg
the texture isn't perfect yet... they are supposed to be recolorable, but I made the mistake to darken them after indexing them.. so they don't have a pure color now.. hopefully I'll sort that out soon.. and I've used a texture ovl.. so thats easy to do
EDIT: I thought I posted this in Custom Scenery... I'm sorry, could someone move it there?

Oh well... That's great work! Do you model just the q-line or even more from this ride / in this kind of architecture? That would be a great expansion to the standart oriental/arabian set!

That looks really very nice. Is this just covers for the queue or will it be a real queue option to choose of? Hope to see more pieces for this very promising set. BTW how much polygons have the arches?

This is looking really promising indeed! :D
I'm a huge Efteling fan and I am waiting so long before anyone can make Efteling scenery, but you finally managed to do it! I already saw a few of your Efteling scenery at Vodhin's. They are great and I hope you will release it soon?
The queue line is very accurate as I can tell. Are you planning to do more of the station like the circle dock and the control room in the center?
Keep it up with this. I can't wait to see more of this, it's addictive! :bulb:

I think doing this as a real queue line would be too limiting, but a real path should be possible.

Belgabor, maybe an edit of wound could be useful. This makes you read it like "won't" which makes your post to be misinterpret very easily ;)
Ps. Remarkable: Finally I have some time to continue working on the Efteling.
This means you already have some Efteling objects completed or something like that?

I'm gonna do the ***** ride.. and continue from there..

These are just covers ofcoarse.. the arches have 116 polygons.. but I have yet to add the lod versions.. (note to self: don't forget to add the LOD models)

Thanks Stevis.. yes I'm gonna try and work my way through the whole ride.. and the circle dock and the controlroom are next on the list..
I don't know about releasing anything soon.. maybe is't better to release the CS of a complete ride as one set..
I think doing this as a real queue line wound be too limiting, but a real path should be possible.
It's just CS.. you can place it wherever you like

yes.. I've got a WIP set (advanced stage) of the Efteling Brink.. the large oval square.. including the unique fences..
I also have some trashcans ready.. and a menu sign
plus I'm building the park at the same time.. but I'd like to get it done one ride at the time now..

No.. it's just 3 pieces.. that's not enough to make a set yet
ow I forgot.. I also have a flower set.. about 20 different pieces.. but I'm not happy with that texture either..
If something is released, it will be on my own forum.. (see signature)

The laser shooting snake is part of the walls in the tilting chamber.. I wanna figure out how to make animated textures for that..

Hi all..
I've been busy.. mostly with non RCT3 related stuff.. but I did spend a lot of time figuring out how to index my textures, so that the values would correspond to what I believe is right.. I found a solution.. drop it and don't index.. and here is what that looks like:

everything is recolorable.. so you can just pic the colors you think match the original the best..
a more blueish green.. or a more salmon kind of red..
how do you suggest we work together Drummah?
Drummah
05-02-2008, 06:47 AM
Maybe we can finish the fata morgana together.
We kunnen afspreken wie wat maakt. (sorry don't know how to say in english :haha:).
I think we can help eachother a lot. I can make particles and a little animatronic :)

This whole project is coming along nicely! :D :D
Drummah has created some truly great objects. This is going to be the first and best Fata Morgana set ever!
Btw, What are those roofs behind the bazaar facade? I've never seen them before...
Can you do the domes, too?
OW, I can't wait. This is better than I ever expected of what was possible.

Looks really good, maybe the dome spire should be done with 2 plains and an alpha though?

I know, I'm whining over something that's my own fault. I could have made time, but I didn't. But now I'm looking forward to picking this project up again.. although I should stress that I still don't have too much time, I'll try to work on it a little bit on the weekends.
