Ok I got this off scream scape, real or not I hope so as this will be the most exciting Disney news ever!

According to a rough translation of this page (http://www.zuzudisney.com/index.htm?/filiale/wdp-dlrp-disneyland3.htm), a presentation was sent out to the Euro Disney investment partners describing plans for the resort from 2009 to 2012, when they will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris. From the sound of things they will spend 800 million Euros by then on several new attractions and refurbishment.
On the refurbishment side they are planning to spends lots of time and money sprucing up Disneyland Paris between 2009 and 2011. Included overhauls will be a complete refurbishment of the Swiss Family Treehouse as well as the conversion of the Autopia to use the same electric powered vehicles being used in Hong Kong. In 2011 the castle itself will undergo a transformation where they may add an additional tower that will house a luxury apartment suite for special guests. Finally they talk about two new E-tickets on the way to the park, an all new version of Splash Mountain that will go somewhere in Adventureland and be given an all new theme. The new story will touch upon a variety of other Disney movies and characters such as The Rescuers, Tarzan, Robin Hood and Little Mermaid for the final splashdown. The other new attraction seems to be called The Safari of Timon and Pumba and may be built near the Indiana Jones coaster.
Meanwhile at the Walt Disney Studios Paris it sounds like they have plans to upgrade the Rock ‘n Roller Coaster and Armageddon attractions somewhat. The Studio Tram tour will add a new Narnia forest scene. As for new attractions, the website claims that Soarin’ over France will be installed somewhere between Cinemagique and Stitch Live and then they will begin work on Expediton Mont Blanc, seeming to be a copy of Florida’s Expedition Everest. It also mentions two new possible dark rides themed to Monsters Inc and Ratatouille.
In short, this sounds like an amazing, too good to be true, plan of action for the Disneyland Paris resort… except for one thing. The timing… it is April 1st after all so I’ve got to wonder if this is all just one big joke or not. As I seem to recall, the origins of April Fools Day itself do go back to France after all. Anyone else want to back this up either way?

Expedition Mont Blanc. :haha:

Of course this was a joke, it's all too good to be true! And if it wasn't a joke they would have mentioned the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade for 2009. ;)

Quite right, although I do feel that a few things there are on their way.

Soarin', for sure, it's popular and good for crowds.

Now that they mention it, a clone of the Monster's Inc. Dark Ride would be a good move.

A new E-Ticket for the main park? Possibly, they'd have something to fill that Gap in Adventureland. Although I'd've thought it'd be Indy Adventure. They should do a Splash Mountain, and they should build a Winnie The Pooh Dark Ride too, especially with it being English and all...

I'd love a 'Splash Mountain' there, then it would be a complete Disney Park.

They've even left space for Soarin'!

I'd really like to see Indy Adventure; they do actually have have plans for it. But Splash Mountain would be great too! I think it's just the Parisian weather that holding them back from building that. Although I'm sure they'd be able to find a way to control how wet you get. :noob:

They do in Tokyo! In fact, WDI have a patent for it! Because the Japanese tend to dress up when they go to the Theme Park, they don't really want to be getting wet. Hence: They're not! :)

If I remember, tonight, I'll do an image or two of where they could add things. I've done one before now for Pooh, but I shall do more!

That's great! Maybe it will be built for 20th anniversary? Or the 25th anniversary? 25th is probably more likely, I think.

I'd be very interested to see that. ;)

(I hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread like this!)

Right. This is how I see future installation!

First of all, I think that the underused Fantasyland Theatre could be removed, and the Station dug under (similar to what they did when they installed Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom) so behind the station there is a show building for a Winnie the Pooh DarkRide. I think having Pooh would be a good move, as there are many British visitors, and you can get little Britisher than Pooh Bear. Also, for the placement, it is near Toad Hall (Restaurant), so the whole English thing is carried over!

Also, as you can see, there may just be room to the left of the Theatre (it's edited out here, as you can see) for it if necessary.

Next, Indy, this is a simple one, Guests would have a walk down through the trees (good for the Indy storyline) to the Temple. The ride is housed in that huge area of Grassland, which includes backstage access already.

Two alternatives for Splash Mountain, the easiest being to scrap Critter Corral (Woody's RoundUp now if I'm correct), and put Splash there, it appears there is room (I kept at 437m up on Google Earth for all these photos, to keep scale), with the show building the other side of the track.

Alternatively, they could do the same as was done in Magic Kingdom, under the station.

In the Studios, Soarin' fits perfectly.

Thanks for those! :)

I think your Winnie the Pooh idea would be great, especially since it would be next to Toad Hall and Peter Pan. I'm sure it'd be popular too.

Indy seems like it could fit easily. I never actually realised it was that small! They could probably fit in a restaurant or something as well.

Splash Mountain should definitely go in the Critter Corral area. At the moment, there is nothing to attract a large amount of guests to that area really. Splash Mountain would do the trick!

...And Soarin'! I never knew it would fit that perfectly! It must be what they've left that space for!

What is the 'Pooh' ride you speak off? Personally I think Disney has something up their sleeve for Indy with the new film coming out and all.

and yes, I agree, methinks it likely.
