That's pretty much it.

Who do you go to amusement/theme parks with?

Vote on the poll and comment if you want.

The poll is multiple choice btw.

Friends and family. I think going alone would be strange and boring. I don't even like to ride rides alone.

Friends, always. My family aren't the theme park type. I'm the thrill seeker in the family.

Vans_boy im also the thrill seeker in my family. It totaly sucks when I go to an Amusment Park with my family and nobody wants to ride anything more than once or they don't want to go on a "scary" ride. It's so annoying thats why I always like to bring a friend.

I go alone. But the trick is to look like you're with a group. I always try to follow some group to make it look like I'm with them. But I stay far enough away to not let them notice. And I aways act like I'm involved in the conversations. Sometimes I switch groups if I get bored with the other.

I go with friends mostly, I rarely go alone.. and even if I do its not for a long amount of time as I find that INCREDIBLY boring.

i normally go with my friends or my dad, but i LOVE to go alone. its so relaxing, wandering aroun by yourself, choosing whatever YOU want to do, and not worrying about your friends being obnoxious or your parents being embarassing :p it also doesnt hurt to check out the girls ;)

guitarist4life I can see the freedom of just doing what ever you want when you want. To me it ruins the whole amusment park experience. I want to sit next to someone I know, and talk in line etc.etc
fbh007 I know what you mean.

I mostly only go with friends. I only go with family when there's a special event going on inside the park that doesn't involve rides, as no one else in my family enjoys rides. I also feel that there is no fun in going to a park alone, so I haven't done that yet.

I go with family, friends and used to go with my school when I was there.

I'm not sure if I would go alone.

That was the one I was most interested in.

I like to go to theme parks more than the average person (as I'm sure a lot of people here do) so a lot of my friends don't want to spend the £30 to go to a theme park if they don't particularly like rollercoasters.

I go with either my friend Alex or Stu.
I have considered going alone but alone in the chav infested Thorpe Park isn't always the greatest of ideas.

While I prefer going with friends and/or family, I'm also perfectly comfortable going alone.

Most of my "Coaster Cruise" trips were solo trips, which actually worked out rather well. I needed to go at a quick pace, with no time for indecision. By being alone, there wasn't any, "Well, gee, what do YOU want to ride next?" The result was that I was able to get to more parks and on more rides than if I'd had someone with me. Also, when it comes to amusement parks, I've got more endurance than most of the people I know. For example, my wife will start to wear down after one or two days of visiting amusement parks, whereas I'm just getting warmed up at that point.

When I am alone, I'll often talk to other guests in the park, and park employees. Also, I'm very comfortable with myself, so I don't have issues with getting lonely. If I don't have someone to talk to, or don't feel like talking to someone, I might start working on thinking about story ideas, which will eventually become a fictional short story.

Another factor for me: I'm a rather high-stress person, and the ONLY thing I've found that does an excellent job relieving my stress and helping me to relax is riding roller coasters. So, from a relaxation perspective, it really doesn't matter if someone is next to me in the ride. I'm going to have fun and relax regardless of if the seat is full or empty. Having someone with whom to ride is most beneficial when waiting in a long line and when eating, but makes very little difference to me when I'm actually on the ride.

Thats when you go with an enthusiast who is much like yourself.. solves problems.. :)

My summer trip this year is with my best friend who is an enthusiast, and we have all our problems solved out as to where we are going before we even hit the road.

I go alone, then stalk young pretty women until they hang out with me, later I move into their homes and molest their pets.
Or like everyone else I just go with family or friends, and occasionally work!

Anyone feeling the need to comment on this should seriously read my sig.

It is noted that Maylene has trouble reading.

I've been Alton Towers on my own...when it was empty..best day ever :D so great to have freedom, no arguing about what rides to go on, and single rider the queues all day, meaning double the amount of rides :D:up: I go with family, and I'd like to go with friends sometimes though.

Mainly family because most of the theme parks I go to is while I'm on holiday and even if I wanted to go to a park here I'd still need someone to drive us.

Now that I can drive, I still have yet gone to a park, going to Thorpe Park soon though!

I'd actually like to add to what I've said earlier...

There are, for me, different times of the better times to go with family, and then the better times to go with friends.

My whole family, including me, hate waiting in lines at Cedar Point in late June - August. That's why we never go. So what I'm saying, is that it's better for me to go with my family in the better days of Cedar Point, where we'll just get in line on everything, without getting into an argument with my family on the line being long.

When I'm with my friends, it's always nice to go with them on the non-packed days as well. Although, if I'd had to pick family or friends on the packed days in July/August, I'd pick friends. I'd suck up waiting in the long lines, because I could talk to my friends in line, and have a good time. Then the time would pretty much fly by. But if I'm with my family, we'll talk and stuff, but it's just not as fun with friends.

By 'friends' Tulie means D3rs and I.

You're kidding yourself Tulie, queues are bad regardless of who you're with.

I have a friend whos scared of going on rollercoasters (though he says he'll come to Alton Towers this year and go on the big rides) and he actually lied about having a heart condition so he didn't have to go on rides.
It was feasible as well as he was rather large and no-one questioned it.
I just laughed when I found out he had lied.

My friends and I once tricked a ten year old to ride Tower of Terror by saying it was in fact the teacups(I don't know why he liked them that much). Even today I have no clue how we pulled that off.

I've already made that mistake once. Although I do have a friend who buys the ticket just to see what girls are in the park, like he couldn't walk around the rest of the city. His parents once gave him two hundred dollars as "emergency money". He spent it on churros by the entrance, just sitting there.
I go with family and friends. If I don't, it's rather boring!
Well, you're a female, and they can't go full periods without talking and/or texting half of their address books.

Edit: You also forgot Atari members Trooper. I'm going with one this weekend, I just hope he's not a murderer behind the screen. Ah well, if he's carrying a knife, I won't show myself.

My mom, like me, loves roller coasters. We used to go to Six-Flags all the time. She bought us season passes every year. She also used to take us to Universal Studios every year during christmas. She's truly a trill seeker. We rode the skycoaster together. I love her so much!

But now-a-days, mom's workin too much to visit the amusement parks, so I go with friends. They like to go with me because they know I used to work there, and they kno when I go, I dont have to wait in line....Some friends.
