In the unknowns, have everything as 0. ALways have everything as 0 unless you are doing something special.

KirsiK

It's all in the tutorial, if you don't want to listen to advice, don't ask for help and solve your problems on your own.

@ Create ovl. press on the + sign @ model

Then on the left you see Tranformation matrix press the edit button beneath it.

There right under you see fix orientation , press that and then ok ;)

Now it wont be lieing anymore

RCT3robin
04-13-2008, 06:15 PM
Why , What you mean. Do you have a picture?

Or do you mean in sketchup/your moddeling program?

if using sketchup:

Right klick on the model , at the end of the list you see texture
Now press that and move the texture how you want it
Then Klick somewhere in the screen ( not in the blue)
now if you group it the texture wont move

if that is what u mean?

KirsiK

KirsiK

RCT3robin
04-13-2008, 06:43 PM

{Freak}Rct3
04-14-2008, 12:56 PM
ok... the walls problem is actually very simple. the only thing we need to know is the size in lenght you use for the walls. a normal wall is 3M. (that's the first thing you need to know, always use meters)

Ok now to the main topic:

http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee194/FreakRct3/dsa-1.jpg

This is a normal wall, it's 3 Meters high and 20 centimeters thick. As you can see it is placed at the middle of the tile.

Now when you import it like this you shouldn't have problems putting your walls together.

And the bench problem: maybe you didn't correctly placed the text line. or your model is at the wrong side of the tile in your modeler

KirsiK
04-14-2008, 12:58 PM
Sure. (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10283508&postcount=24)
Yes I made them:bulb:

{Freak}Rct3 yes mybe i dont put text in right place - how should i put right?
and i make my wall 3 m high and 0.2 m thick

The benches are the orientation points in sketchup ( peep 1 and peep 2) that are placed wrong , The walls just does not good allign.

Try king veveraine's settings that may work. and dont forget how to make the model.

this thread is quite unnecessary. i assure you that if you spent some time reading and listening to all the tutorials given to you you would have maybe one or two problems instead of a whole thread load. many of your posts you post an hour or less later, there is no way you have done any research into the problem and tested it several times in that amount of time. i know some people learn better by visuals and such but this is ridiculous.

if everyone did this we would have about 1000 or more threads with everyone asking the same questions and everyone answering the same.

really there needs to be a Q&A sticky about CS and its questions.. i would but i am having less and less time due to exams getting closer..

KirsiK

yea... see, im not imagening things either :p ANYWAY, added onto that thred i think there should be a Q&A forum for CS and stuff.. might be usefull for some things...

KingVeveraine
04-16-2008, 03:28 AM
Really, shouldn't there be a top thread of some great work someone has done rather than it constantly being pushed off by a help thread that has been running for 3 pages! I don't see how that after three pages and numerous tutorials the problem isn't fixed.

stu-2693
04-16-2008, 01:28 PM
becouse people dont read previous posts ;)

KirsiK
04-16-2008, 03:11 PM
i made this thread coz most of tutorials dont have numbers need to import walls or they discribing how to import *cubes*

stu-2693
04-16-2008, 04:23 PM
hmm... how many sides does a cube have? and how many do a wall have? im sure there is a relationship there somewere... its just so hard to figure out...:p

as for numbers, learn that in the world people put things in places for a reason, i think you will find that most of the tutorials have the standard settings for the sid's in the importer, and whatever size or shape your mesh/group is, its still going to be a mesh or group, however much you mash it up :P

KirsiK
04-17-2008, 02:22 PM
you better help than arguing
