Corvette boy, I don't think there was an issue with the pack (other than the audio in the RUFs that people have been complaining about). I think there was an issue between the servers and the new pack. So Atari had to cut off the supply of carpacks until the servers were fixed.

Atari, shame on you, forcing TDU users to buy the car pack for the same price that the game is being sold for today! It is for sure a rip but the new cars are nice to have so thank you finally for that but geesh!

OK your right and then your wrong! yea there located in the back of the car and so are the motors on the Lambos, so why can i hear the engine on the lambos and ferrari's but not on the RUF? because there are still some sound issues...

Ok fine,

RUF's are custom built cars based on Porsche models...

RUF RGT, is based on on the Porsche 911 GT3.
RUF RK Spyder, is based on the Porsche Cayman.
RUF Rt 12, is based on the Porsche 997.
RUF Rturbo, is based on the Porsche 996.

...and they do also modify Porsche's. Let's not start splitting hairs, next you're gonna tell me that Shelby and Saleen Mustangs ain't modified Ford's...

The F40 isnt in-game. You are thinking of the F430.

However, the RS4 and Skyline are in-game, but they are re-included because the megapack also includes the 1.66A patch.

Get YOUR facts straight, RUF's ARE modified Porsches. BUT under German law they are modifed to such a point where they can market it as a different make of car. Where do you think RUF get the car? Straight from Porsche.

RUF does not modify Porsche's. They take the chassis from a porsche and build it from there. A modifer would take a car already built, and put parts onto it.

A car modifier would be Veilside, they take a pre-built car, like a RX-7, and modify it heavily to make it look like another car. RUF on the other hand takes a chassis, and builds their way up.

Therefore RUF is considered its own car company.

Okay let me get this straight. you people are actually trying to get people to spend more money on a product that never was fully fixed?. Common how many months did we wait for the first patch more like almost a year?. now its 2008 4th month in and they release this.

I for one will not be buying this little addon. Test drive unlimited had so much potential . The idea of a Open online racing game like this is first of its kind. So please Oh PLEASE make a new one insted of charging money for new cars on a half baked game.

Too Rtoups I believe if we purchase this pack were just showing corperations that we'll take there BS for months upon months then get a patch that didnt even fix the main issues with the game . Then months later try to spoon feed us a "mega Pack " of cars that should be free fer all purposes of customer appreciation.. I dont know about you but thats sapose to be the first thing on a companys agenda, to please its loyal consumers/customers then making funds for future titles. Not the opposite. This game had enormous sales because it was multi platform so dont try and say they need funding for there next project. There a money hungry corp like any other company example E@ games .

Actually Atari did say that the cars will be free, in fact they said that we will get to download two free cars every month. As you can see they haven't done that, and I can't even find that web page anymore (I wonder why).

I know - we get a free car or two with each pack as well. Here, you get all of the cars. I didn't see the Diablo on the list - but pretty much every other car was there.

With a PC, it's different. For 360 owners, we can go to LIVE and snag the cars. The next time we boot the game, it's there. And we didn't get a mega car pack - just biquarterly. And like 5 cars at a time with just one free one. Here, they have tossed in the free cars with the paid ones. It is fair? Totally. Just dig up the original press release. Sure, there are folks who don't buy carpacks - you can just snag the free car, but for most folks, they are happy to get any cars whatsoever.

Maybe Atari will figure out a way to give away the free cars - but based on the fact that it's purely charity, I am not so sure.

Not only the Diablo is missing, but the entire DLC 6 pack. I mean, there's no Cadillac Sixteen, Audi A4 DTM, Nissan 350Z Convertible, Pontiac Solstice and the Triumph Daytona (sorry if I missed any). I'm wondering if we're ever gonna get them for PC. Considering that we finally got some DLC after all... who knows?

I'm sorry you guys are unhappy with the game pack, but I only play from my PS3. I did'nt get any bikes and a lot of cars with the PS2 version and don't get the option of a download. You guys think you're bummed out! I agree that corporates should listen and keep their customers happy. I have the same serious problem with one of Atari's competitors with football and racing, without getting kicked off for using specific names, so I sympathize with you. I complained over and over, and many others too, but they came out with the same issues. Maybe some corrections, but very few. I think they(corporates) pay little attention to these forums. Let's start a war with them. How do you get them to listen. ATARI get a TDU2 going NOW!!!!! Same multi-platform that we all know made you a fortune so no excuse for money unless you're drunks and druggies. Make sure future downloads include all platforms. Yeh, there everybody, they'll listen now, NOT!

Well Jerry, the thing is the PS2 cannot download files off the internet for games, nor can PSP. That is why only the 360 and PC can get upgrades. Now if the game was made for PS3 instead of PS2, then it would be a completely different story.

Does the megapack bring any fixes? If it's an expansion selling for $20, I would expect some other stuff than just cars. Remember when Need for Speed 3 released extra cars for free? And NFS4, 5, 6... and so on...

Does the megapack finally get rid of the polygonal road bumps? For me, this is what killed the game that had huge potential. IMHO, this road bump thing is what kept TDU from ever becoming *the* racing game for the PC, even though it took 5 years to make.

I'm actually hard-pressed to think of another racing game that has bumpy polygonal roads. Cruis'n-USA? No, was it some older game than that?

When you purchase the DLC you are given a KEY, so you could burn the downloaded pack and write the key down on it. Then you could sell it, install it on a different PC, etc. I don't get where the paranoia is coming from. IMHO, the CCR alone is worth the purchase. Let alone the Ruf's, the F40, and a few others.

My fault, my misunderstanding, its an expansion pack. They should just call it an expansion pack next time, instead of megapack. Megapack to me means that that would include the game and probably what would be an end-of-life patch or something. Oh well, installing now :)
