View Full Version : [Possible WIP] Default scenery re-imported with no collision
Just an idea, that I'd like feedback on before I did it, if I was to re-import ALL the vanilla scenery, without collision, and made it all quarter tile would you use it? or would it be a waste of time doing? I've already done it with the Light house and roman temple but that was to see if it was possible.

I think it would be great! I have one question though...Would you have to replace all the old Vanilla or just make a bigger file?

you'd install it the same as instant wood, copy the files from <dir> to the CS dir in the Read Me file :)

Does that mean when you raise bigger pieces it won't be put on those stupid metal stands?
If so, then yes this will be very useful

There's one that sounds like it does that but it doesn't.
I think...:bulb:

I thought that this infringed on copyright, or am I wrong? If it's the same concept as DasMatze's Wood set, then its fine.

I would recommend against doing this. It will be a ****load of work and bear a high risk of users irrecoverably messing up their RCT3 installation.

Wait, so, this means you could put them wherever you want? (like on paths, combining with other scenery, on the coaster tracks...) If so, awesome idea.

I agree with Belgabor, it would take way to much work to move all the files. So, unless you would create a program that would do it with a click of a button, I'm to lazy. :)

Well DasMatze did it with his Instant Wood set, so why not with walls? If people are too lazy to copy some files, that's their problem.

I vote yes :) , I would be great thanks chris
'nuff said.
I could make an app for it that copies all the files over.
Amplifyed: Yep, the supports would be gone and you could put it on paths e.t.c as well.

Especially for the original walls (includes the ones in Soaked and Wild) I would like to have them also as quartertile-walls with no collision. This would give us more versatility and I would use more of the original walls in my parks as I currently do.

Unfortunately this will not work for walls. The 3D model needs to be changed to do that.

Wouldn't all of the models have to be changed to shift them so that they occupy the -1,0,-1 to 3,3,3 range rather than the current -2,0,-2 to 2,3,2 range?
Otherwise all of the models will be a quarter of a tile length out and will never line up against full squares.

Sure, but I was under the impression that was intended and/or didn't matter that much. Walls would be completely off alignment and therefore pretty much unusable.

Sounds like a good idea. Though I only see the use for the objects, not the wall sets. I think that it would cause to much lag when opening the scenery menu.
