So, i was doing my homework when i came across a fact that the monarch butterfly looks very similar to another kind. this other butterfly tried to purposely evolve to look like the monarch because the monarch is poisonous to eat. Do you guys know the name of this butterfly?

I tried to Google it. I managed to find it, but it was hard. So if you want to cheat, good luck...

anyway. you guys aren't doing my homework... i alredy have the answer plus this has nothing to do with it.....

however mimicry was one of the terms i had to make a vocab card out of.... and i found that the monarch was of similar color and shape as the viceroy

oh and edit: i didnt mean that it triedto evolve. I know that it just did.

The viceroy mimics the monarch. Monarchs eat milkweed, which tastes like hell to birds. Thus birds don't eat monarchs. If something looks a lot like a monarch, it gets eaten less.
