I'm going to SFGRAV today, Trip report and possibly pics later!
*Trip Report*
So, the trip yesterday to SFGRAV was possibly an enthusiast's wet dream. Everything about the day was perfect.
10:04: we arrive at the park about a half hour ahead of schedule.
10:30 people are allowed on rides, I get the first ride of the day on the Great American Scream Machine.
After that, Superman ultimate flight was a walk-on.
After riding Superman, My friend and I head over to El Toro. It is amazingly fun, the line was a walk on.
We then went over to Kingda Ka where the only wait I had to tolerate was about 15 mins. For my first time on Kingda Ka, the launch just takes your breath away.
After walking around abit with friends, we go eat lunch at Johnny Rockets. The food was absurdly overpriced, but the milkshakes were great.
Just for the heck of it, after lunch I ride skull mountain with my friends just for that cred.
After Skull mountain, my friend and I went over to nitro. The line was a walk on, and we only had to wait one train to get front row. Nitro is the most amazing ride I have ever ridden in the history of ever. It is smooth, fast, filled with airtime, etc. It was so much fun and uncrowded that the attendants let us keep our front row seats and ride again.
Batman is nearby, (the inverted) so we walk onto batman. It was alot of fun, but nothing spectacular.
My friends and I then took the cable car to the other side of the park. A friend and I ride Medusa. It was great, probably my 3rd favorite ride of the day. Again, they let us just keep our seats for the next ride.
After Medusa, we hit up rolling thunder. It is fun, but does not compare to some of the other rides at the park.
After rolling thunder, I was feeling like crap because I just ate alot of food and rode several rollercoasters. I go to the nurse place, they have no ipecac. I played a game or two, won a basketball and ended up inducing vomiting in a restroom just to get rid of the nausea.
While I was in the bathroom, my friend was on Superman again. He lost his cellphone on the ride, so we needed to go to lost and found. *Fortunately, at the end of the day, my friend's phone was found and they are mailing it to him*
It is now about 3:45. My friend and I walk back to meet up with two other friends over at El toro. After about 10 mins, I was able to convince a friend of mine to go on Nitro, saying it was not as rough as El Toro. It is now about 4:10, and we are running from El Toro all the way to Nitro.
I get my friend on nitro, third row. We rode it, he now loves the ride.
4:30: We meet up with everybody else on the trip, I grab a vitamin water for the ride home.
All things considered, the trip was short of perfect. With no lines, beautiful weather, and being with friends made it a near perfect day. (It would have been better if we had an extra hour in the park and I wasn't feeling nauseas and if my friend hadn't lost his phone.
