^I don't know, I would keep an eye on that. They are doing some serious work on BB right now, and the earliest it will reopen is Memorial Day.

Edit: It should have said Memorial Day weekend.

Just to let you know David, a good portion of the first drop is being torn out and replaced. They are also re-tracking some of the upper bay turn. If everything goes well, it should be open next weekend.

Thanks for that.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. The club are in regular contact with someone at the park, so really hoping all the maintenance goes to plan.
Seems odd for a new coaster to require such heavy maintenance so soon!

Hey Dave, from what I hear BB is back on track and running great. ...About 15 seconds faster great.;)

Have fun!!!

You're joking...15 seconds faster? really?

I was shocked when I heard that too, but I'm not sure if it's every single ride. I know the coaster was running in the 70-76 second range, and now it has been clocked in the 61-62 second range. ...so that's a 10-15 second difference.

It was true...whilst running "only" 64 seconds it was a wild ride, and certainly one way of keeping awake on our first day in USA after being up for 26 hours! I really enjoyed the ride, really a wild experience. How long it was last...now that's a question!

Today we were at Fiesta Texas. Fantastic day, and they treated the club to loads of VIP treatment including our own room for the day, a tour up to the top of the quarry to get photos and film of superman, and free fizzy drinks in the VIP suite. We finished the day with 30 mins on Superman and 30 mins on Goliath, riding between 9.45 and 11pm!

Just got to our hotel nearby, and Sea World tomorrow morning before heading north to Dallas area for Six Flags over Texas.

Had a great day at World's of fun. Mamba exclusive ride session was really fun, with Caleb in the station a real star! We also had a photo tour along the access road underneath Patriot, and around to Timber Wolf and Mamba, which was cool.

Off to St Louis and then Holiday World tomorrow.

Follow the trip here...

You can see Susan and Me on the front of Mamba here

We are on the top row of photos, photo number 5, and a close up of me in photo 17 (centre, with Susan and friend Chris).

Nope, unfortunately the parks over here take a strict line to dress and behaviour, and naked riding is not on the list of suitable attire for riding coasters in USA!

Having a great time though...had a few goes on The Voyage tonight...superb coaster!

I love The Voyage! The last time I rode it, I was in the second seat behind two teen girls that were riding it for the first time. I think my ears were still ringing several hours later.

Glad to see you had fun. My crew at Spinning Dragons did not understand how or why you all were able to go that close to Patriot while it was running. I was there Saturday and explained to them. WOF is a unique park with lots of history. Mamba and Patriot are the 2 favorites of the park. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Glad to see you're having a great time, David. It kinda stinks that you guys missed out on a couple of new coasters. It seems parks are opening their new attractions later and later every year.
