Maybe alton towers.
Hopefully getting a train on a weekday so not much queueing and if 10 people want to come we can get group discount. The money saved pays for the train fare
still in planning so it might not happen...

Yeah I thought so. It doesn't look all that amazing unless you're in one of the themed rooms. I bet they're really expensive...

For me, the third week in June till the third week in August is my off-season. I do my main traveling in May, early June, or late August. The rest of the year it's the Florida or SoCal parks.

You guys are really making me jealous. I'm visiting SFGAm 4 or 5 times this year. When I get my license in a few years, I'm getting a season pass and will be there all the time. But for now, I guess I'll just have to settle for a few times a year.

Cedar Point twice. I'm lucky this year, cuz I usually only get to go once with the distance and all.

BGE once. We started that last year. We hit BGE and CP on the same vacation.

Hey Harpo, are you planning on going to Celebration Centre when you visit Lagoon? ...because Sonic Boom is one heck of a ride.

Is that the home of S&S?

I doubt we'll have the time, but we'll see how it goes. We're specifically going to Utah for my nephew's graduation. However, since we're going all that way, I stated that I definitely want to squeeze in a day at Lagoon.

Oh, and I remembered what the other park was that I've visited this year. It was Castles 'n' Coasters in Phoenix, Arizona.

Yes, it's in Logan.

The small "park" is about 65 miles from Lagoon, so if you end up with a little extra time it's worth a quick visit. I was only there for about 45 minutes last August, but was able to ride everything I wanted to. Including the one and only Sonic Boom, currently the tallest drop ride in the world at 357 feet.

There's also an Alpine coaster in Park City that's a lot of fun, but that's in the opposite direction.

Well, it seems alton towers is a pain to get to when bus trips aren't running and when they are it's packed.
It's drayton manor now but it's way easier to get to so we can go on a weekday. I would rather go to Alton but since I haven't been to any theme park in ages I'm not too bothered.

I'm starting of with my home park Six Flags St. Louis and then probably going to Six Flags Great America next month. Then Holiday World, Silver Dollar City, and maybe Worlds of Fun. I really need some one to coaster trip with because I travel on Mondays and Tuesdays plus it's hard to find people interested in roller coasters like me to begin with. It's hard having to drag my friends along with me it's way to time consuming to get them to agree on a date and everything else.

A "small" trip report...

I went to Epcot last Friday. I live nearby, so I usually visit often, but it was my first time being there since they removed the wand from SSE. Spaceship Earth was pretty cool since the renovation (even though I'd already seen it many times on YouTube). I had an awesome time as usual, and even visited the little "secret" 25th Anniversary exhibit. No one was ever in there, and it was a nice cool place to escape from the crowds... don't even get me started on the crowds, though.

On Saturday I visited Aquatica for the first time with my Busch season pass. It was incredible! The atmosphere and rides were amazing! There was a lot of crowds, though. The wait time for some exceeded at least 30 minutes, which is okay I guess. The Dolphin Plunge slide was okay, but you would go so fast, you couldn't see the dolphins!

I also went to SeaWorld Saturday night for a quick visit. I saw the new Bayside Ski Jam show which had a really annoying High School Musical-type singing and dancing part and also saw the new Clyde and Seamore show. In the new Clyde and Seamore show (I'm guessing it's only for the summer), they parody all of the shows (even Kraken) and it's actually really funny. They really make fun of the shows and the people that act in them, and not just some "Shamu trick parodies" like I expected. I got on Kraken around 9:30 PM (with a 10 minute wait) after it had some down time from around 5:30 PM (or earlier) to 8 PM. I went by myself on the front row, a great B&M floorless experience!

Kraken is a great ride. Nothing to report here I just been operating and working, the weekend wasn't to to bad. No work on sat due to a thunderstorm but I did work on sunday and it was almost dead all day. Curses!

There's also an Alpine coaster in Park City that's a lot of fun, but that's in the opposite direction.

The primary purpose of the trip is to go to my nephew's high school graduation. That'll be in Park City, hence that's where we're staying.

It's been quite a few years, but I have been on that Alpine coaster. I'm hoping I'll be able to sneak in another ride on it during this trip.

There is one other catch to this trip -- my wife currently cannot go on any amusement park rides due to something that happened Opening Weekend at Cedar Point. During that weekend, we won a basketball at a hoops game, a stuffed animal at The Guessing Game, and several other small items. A couple of weeks later, we also found out that, on the morning of Opening Day at the Hotel Breakers, we won the Grand Prize -- in the not-too-distant future, there'll be a new_harpo around! :D Considering that I'm the dad, it couldn't possibly have happened at a more appropriate place than Cedar Point! (Of course, it does throw a wrench into my old statement: "Hey, this is a family park, not a park for making families!" Apparently, it can be both!)

Anyway, since my wife cannot ride anything for the next 9 months, I don't want to go taking her to a bunch of places where all she can do is stand around and watch me have fun.
