Sounds like a good time. The chilled back trips are always the best. I really want to get on Ravine Flyer II. It looks like an amazing ride.

The park itself, driving to it, definitely reminded me of Knoebels. Two lane back roads the whole way. Getting there, we damn near missed the entrance, but got in.. free parking which is always nice, and made a leisurely stroll into the park. Soon as we walk in, we buy all day wrist bands, DEFINITELY worth the price of $19.45. Some people were buying 10 tickets for $14, which was a true tragedy because you couldn't ride anything for that price.

As we get in, of COURSE the first thing we have to do.. Ravine Flyer II.

Running one train, loading is still slow.. the wait, with a full queue, averaged 45 minutes. In the station, much like Millennium Force, you could choose to sit in the back, front.. but they usually filled the rows.

Ravine Flyer II:

The ride was fantastic in short. Our first ride (my brother came), we sat in the last row as you can see from above, and the airtime really shocked me at every experience. True Gravity Group airtime, reminded me very much of the airtime on Voyage. The first drop was great, with a great view of Lake Erie, we drop down the ravine over the bridge, which gives surprising air. Into the turnaround, you do get a bit thrown around.. the only bit on the whole ride.. but what woodie wouldn't be right without it?

The 2nd drop from the turnaround also delivers great airtime. After that drop, we go back over the bridge with three airtime hills with pack a nice little punch. Great banks follow into a great twister section, into the 90 degree turn which then dives back down into the ravine.. which might be my favorite section of the whole ride. The speed you gain and the feeling of open, I'm traveling in the woods.. I just loved it. After, the pacing drops a bit with some slower hills into the brakes.

Really, a fantastic ride. Worth the trip to ride it. What really won me over on this ride was the night ride. We rode it just after dusk in the back and wow.. it really shocked me. Overall tho, its not Voyage, so don't expect it to be, but it can hold its own. 10/10 without a doubt.. loved it.

XScream was after our first ride of RFII.. and boy did it shock the HELL out of me. This is easily the 2nd best drop tower I've ever been on.. and hinted with Drop Zone as being my favorite. Although its only 150ft tall, the airtime lasts the whole puppy.. more then drop towers with +100ft to drop. The first time I rode it, my mouth just dropped in shock tbh. We ended up riding it 7 times.. as the line was.. not there. Next time I go, I hope to break 20 to be honest. 10/10 for XScream, no doubt about it.

Spinny

This was.. meh. I only rode it once and it was barely memorable. 5/10 no doubt about it.. as it was a bit rough in spots and loading was HORRIBLY slow.

After that, we got a spot to eat, then rode RFII a few more times. It just kept getting better and better the more we rode it.

Wider shot

Comet was next, the last coaster I would add to my list.. a tiny little 1951 woodie, apparently a 'classic' which I dunno about, but still an interesting ride. It had the turnaround directly over the station, which was an interesting feature I've never seen before. Overall, the ride wasn't exciting, and wasn't really good at all. Of course, having just ridden RFII, most would seem dull. 6/10

About 3/4 of the park.. as you can see Steel Dragon in the distance, which is the park boundary.. and the Ferris Wheel, which I was on at the time, was the other boundary.

Overall.. great little park, easily the best small park I've ever been to. Nothing else really compares really, as I wasn't a huge fan of Knoebels. The park is a mere hour drive from my house, so I plan on going back a few more times this summer to ride RFII at night once again, which would make any trip worth it.

And I'll leave you with a shot of sunset! :)

Great PTR Marcus, I only wish I could've been there with you!

Only problem is there is this thing called college.

But really does look to be a great coaster Ravine Flyer, and I can't wait to hit it up this summer!
