Has any one here ever thought about starting some type of company in the aumsement park industry? I've always been fascinated by the industry and the roller coasters of course. I would love to to start up a small company some day and grow it over the years. What do are you guys/gals input?

Most important thing I'd think is to ignore everyone who tells you not to do it.

Banksy's sister once threw out all of his drawings, upon his inquiry as to why, she said "Well, it's not like they're going to be hanging in the Louvre is it?"

There are many more examples to people who were told they shouldn't and couldn't do something, but if you have a dream, follow it, put everything into it, and you just might succeed.

Well, I can give this moral support, kthx.

I would love to manage and/or own an amusement park someday, but I don't think it will ever happen for me :/

Just got to be smart on what type of plans you want to do.

Big thing is to have a budget plan, but all I can say I wish you well.

I'd listen to Episode #127 of the Coasterradio.com podcast
They talk to the guy behind Alien Apex on how you start going about creating a theme park. We're talking seriously too here.

Mods:This isn't advertising,I'm just giving the guy some info!

I would need a financial fund company (think Warren Buffet) or be extremely wealthy to begin with to have investors and banks believe in me (think Walt Disney) to have the start-up capital to build a decent amusement park on my own. I would actually rather have a company that deals with actual amusement park rides and eventually move on to roller coasters kinda like how Arrow did. Arrow started off with Carousels and then eventually moved on to roller coasters, well with the help of Walt Disney (go figure).

It's definitely something I've been considering, and I've been working on a plan.

Sorry, I'm not going to give details -- someone might run off with it! :D

I win the lotto I'll make my own theme park, and ask everyone on the forums to help out. LOL

That's not his podcast, it's one of the biggest coaster podcasts out there. How is it advertising? It's just like providing a link to RCDB or linking to a news story.

If that's considered advertising, how come forcing someone to join a site and post to download CS is not considered advertising.

I think a lot of things round here are pretty mucked (change a letter hehe) up but you just have to learn to live with them. Life's like that.

As for your plan's... well good luck to you. Hope it goes well for you.

I think to build your own theme park is not immpossible, people always say a lottry win or you need 100 million pounds or dollars but its not true, type in on google theme park rides for sale, or rollercoasters for sale, you get some real goo deals.

I think the first thing you should do is buy land, then obviously you need planning permission, actually look how this one guy did it.
