Are there any tutorials that explain how to import see-through objects, like making glass windows?

I'm pretty sure its just like normal textures, except with an alpha channel, and with the proper transparency option. Also, glass and other transparent stuff needs to be fixed in ovlmake just to get rid of the x-ray effect.

Well I'm not sure how to use a command prompt either, are there any tutorials on how to use that?

To learn the command prompt, open it, type 'help' and hit enter. ;)

If you have Sketch Up,there's already a translucent texture into the programme.

the easiest way to make a translucent texture is to use an imaging program such as the gimp and make an internal alpha and export it to .png format, you will then not need an external alpha

what i do is ( i have sketchup) i just texture it and lower the opacity of a cool texture so its basically see through

yea but when you export it (if you can) then you loose the transparency, it is only tempary, its also not a good idea to give advice when you are having problems too..
