Hrrrm.... Your a sketup user, right? There should be a tutorial on oz's site about how to map it. I think it comes down too you have to distort it, as it only like maps the bottom half of a particular image? and or maybe flips it as well?
I dont recall, as I only scanned the tutorial once for general concepts and that was bck when Surfing Oz first wrote it...
coasterman20076
06-27-2008, 02:56 PM
yea followed Surfingoz tutorial I try like 3 time still is not working is there something do wrong in RCT3importer.

It is very hard to explan. First map the top half of the texture only. Then flip it

the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots would be cool but think robot would make A really high polys .
RCTAeon
06-28-2008, 11:43 PM
No more so than the first bot
You can smooth out the grooves and the Base can be fudged 3D
Hollow on the inside and one sided on the visual edges
Heck RCT3 does it with pretty much all their big scenery pieces it's just a hollowed out shell with barely any contours at all
Shouldn't the Toy Hammer bench have a Square and Triangle hole with pieces? It's where the ol' saying Square Peg in a Round hole came from.
coasterman20076
06-28-2008, 11:51 PM
ok try seeif can do the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots seewhat I can do also know how old one of toy hammer bench looked.

how many polys are in that bench toy? and you should import the textures in sketchup and texture them there or they might get messed up. if you have seen my models in sketchup. i fully texture everything then i can group easier and export.
coasterman20076
06-29-2008, 12:46 AM
there about 220 polys in the bench set

Trust me I remember the wooden trains with the magnetic locks when they came out they were in those specialty toy stores. I can't remember the name it was like BILO or FILO or something like that.
Besides you can use this toy set to make a miniture railway train like one of those trains you just have to color it and fix it just so.

Not if you do it right. Sketchup probobly isnt the tool for that particular job though because of the high number of verti it assigns automagically to circles, tubes and spheres...

stu-2693

that would be a good idea for a set of its own but it would be so complex with so many pieces if it was accurate that it would be imposable to use :p
