Near completion: Gutted the original cafeteria and remodeled the building to replace the Ronnie's currently outside Miller's Hollow theme park.

Dance floor... i like the nightlife, I like to boogie...

TV screens and memorabilia going up, still a lot of decoration to add. Miami Vice showing on the screens... that logo looks familiar...

The idea of the dance floor is inspired from Jack Rabbit Slim's in Pulp Fiction

For some perspective here is the old thread for this park where there are some screen shots of the inside of Buccaneer Harbor as it was when it was first completed.

http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=502520&page=3

My parks are rarely ever complete, sort of like real theme parks there is always room to add new attractions or improve on things.

Buccaneer Harbor was one park I was never happy with from the day I finished it the first time. Sometime after finishing it I built a second indoor water park Buccaneer Landing which had a better layout and used a lot custom scenery not available at the time Buccaneer Harbor was built.

http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=619310

At the time Buccaneer Landing was completed I decided I wanted to update Buccaneer Harbor but knew it was goign to take a massive amount of work since changing the pool complex inside the building would cause the roof to shift and essentially the best way to do this would be to blow away everything inside and essentially start over.

So that is exactly what was done.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh50.jpg
The exterior is not complete yet but the entrance is very similar to the one at Buccaneer Landing.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh51.jpg
The design was changed somewhat to resemble the original entrance to Buccaneer Harbor

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh52.jpg
The inside of the entrance is not fully complete either but after entering the park guests cross the new bridge over the lazy river to get to the changing room area.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh53.jpg

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh54.jpg
One of the remodeled locker rooms

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh55.jpg
Entrance to the pool area

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh56.jpg
All new scenery at the back of the pool complex

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh57.jpg
4 new slides to were the complex which are nearly identical to the ones from Buccaneer Landing

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh58.jpg

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh59.jpg
A section of roof that is higher than what had originally been on the building was designed to allow for these slides.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bh/bh60.jpg
The support towers are there as supports for the roof system.

Where to start, well I think it's safe to say that is one of the most beautiful and creative buildings I've ever seen in RCT 3. Out of all the parks no one has attempted such a massive structure at this and I don't know why, just look at the last 3 or so photos, it's incredible. Not to mention this is the most realistic water park on the forums, out of everything I've seen I could say without worry if this was a recreation!

KidFox,

You are one of the greatest RCT3 player EVER! You're a master making buildings. Your restaurants are so amazing, that they look like a real restaurants. And if Buccaneer waterpark was almost perfect before, it's even better now.

You are truly a RCT3 legend.

Lovely!!! This is the first decent indoor pool I'v seen since, well, ever. Actually, decent is an understatement - those before and after pics show just how much you'v improved. There's just no comparison.

I do have some minor crits though, I'm sure they'll be no problem for you. Firstly the randomly placed benches in the changing rooms really don't seem to fit. Perhaps line them all up? And secondly the drop slides go from the straight to the pool. In real life, they have a flat section to slow you down. Do you have enough room to do this?

We are about 1/3 the way around the river now. Dave mentioned that it shows my improvement but you have to consider when I created this park originally the custom scenery we had that could be placed near the river like this was very limited. I just couldn't have done some of this even if I wanted to which is why I go back and improve old parks.

Thanks!

This is beautiful! Right down to the lighting and background unseen details. I like how you've changed it from a lazy river to more of a discovery, most people do one or two scenes along the route but you've made it totally immersive. Incredible!

I had a period of time where I wasn't building in RCT3 anymore. Several problems with computers, lack of time were the issues.

I started building again a few months back but I haven't been showing anyone anything on Atari up to now.

I did finish Buccaneer Harbor other than a few finishing touches. I split off the water park from the hotel due to the complexity of both and the water park is completed other than a few shops yet to place.

Nothing I do is every really finished but this remodel is finished.

The hotel was pretty much complete before so there is not much new to show there.

But to see if there is any interest at all here are a few more before an after shots of Buccaneer Harbor showing that when I redo something, I redo it.

Great point on the slides last year. I did change this but waited awhile to do it because making changes like this to the pool complex also effects the roof which can be a pain to fix. Basically deleting sections of pool that used to be under where the slide is now extended cause the roof to shift up when the land shifts up as the pool sections are deleted. So I had to remove those sections of roof also and rebuild it and the supports that were moved.

With all the renovation to Buccaneer Harbor the need to do some work at its sister indoor water park Buccaneer Landing became apparent.

The renovation to the water park will not be as dramatic as Buccaneer Harbor since Buccaneer landing is not as old and already had some of the innovations that were recently added to Buccaneer Harbor. The changes at the Landing are mostly decorative upgrades to foliage and some scenery.

The most dramatic changes will be on The Grand Hotel which is also on the site.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl001.jpg

The get a look at what is happening at Buccaneer Landing let's go to the park security guards Andy and Barney who are meeting us outside their new security office located in the lower level of the hotel expansion.

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl002.jpg

"From our new security office we can see all around the water park and hotel using some fancy new camera gadgets."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl003.jpg

"From this shot you can see what the exterior of the building used to look like. No major changes to the building or theme here just re-paving the sidewalks."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl004.jpg
"The brick seems to look a lot better with the theme."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl005.jpg
"Now from this photo from one of our cameras across the lake you can see the hotel as it looked before the renovation began."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl006.jpg

"Here you can see the progress up to now. We will be adding almost twice as many rooms, all new meeting and ball rooms and a new restaurant along with all the offices, guest services, security and first aid here on the lower level."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl007.jpg

"Now for this shot of course we don't have cameras in the guest rooms so I sent Barn here up there with his camera. I did make sure he had a least one roll of film in his pocket. Wouldn’t want to send him up with a loaded camera but he did remember to put in the film. This is a shot of one of the rooms that has not been redecorated yet."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl008.jpg

"And here is one that has been redone."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl009.jpg

"Another shot of one of the rooms with the old decor."

http://www.kidfox.net/fai/images/bl/bl010.jpg

"And another of a redecorated room. We are keeping the painting and decorating contractors pretty busy here lately."

"Well that's about all we have time for now, Barney and I have to get about our rounds to make sure no one has been jumping lines or doing anything like vandalism or things like that. Never know we may even get something for the lost and found. Things get pretty exciting for our little security office. If y'all want to see more let us know, we can probably find some time to give you another look around soon."

Nice new renovations. I occasionally look back at my Wonder World lands, especially Expo 3000 and think to myself, "Yuck. This looked great 3 years ago, but now..." But I just don't have the patience to go back and refurbish my old stuff.

Looking at your post No. 63, my eyes popped out... :)
Not only you´re a fantastic builder, but a very talented photograph. Your pics are great.

The 6th shot is fabulous, but Number 8 is my favourite. It´s so unique, I´ve never seen something like this.

Thanks a lot for sharing.

Like Belotto said, this is simply amazing. Everything is so well detailed, from the inside of the hotel rooms, to the massiveness of the hotel. That is possibly the best hotel I have seen in this game.
