Lights! Camera! Design!
Hello everyone, I thought that this new competition would be a fun one, and it's called Lights, Camera, Design! In this competiton, you are supposed to recreate a roller coaster from a chosen category, with each category representing a coaster family, (Hypercoaster, Rocket Coaster, Floorless Coaster, etc.), a coaster engineer, (B&M, Intamin, Arrow, etc.), or even a country in a world! There'll be about 4 of them in all. After you recreate your chosen coaster, you'll have to present your coaster in a way, which would be from a video or a series of pictures. If you make a video, whether it's a POV, or if it just shows us your coaster, you'll get an extra 3 points, whether it's accurate or not! You have to get as much as 50 points in order to win, which is determined by a set of judges which will be grading each of the designs, from a rubric of 1-10, and these points will add up to your score. Below, I listed all of the rules that you'll need to know for the contest and tips for you to be the best coaster recreator!
Important Rules/Tips:
1: There are 5 categories that you'll need to choose from during the contest. One category at a time!
2: Once you're in the competition, you're able to quit, but it would be better if you stayed!
3: You'll have about a month to recreate you're chosen coaster.
4: After you recreate your chosen coaster, you'll have to present your coaster in a way, which would be from a video or a series of pictures. If you make a video, whether it's a POV, or if it just shows us your coaster, you'll get an extra 3 points, whether it's accurate or not!
5: We'll be playing up to 50 points per person if you want to, but if you guys want to bring it up as we play, then I'll be glad to!
6: No cheating!
7: When you choose your coaster, you are able to use pictures/videos to help you, bu if you use them too much and I catch you doing it, points will be taken off!
8: Have fun; there'll be a prize for the winner!
Roles:
Judges, this won't be a hard job for you, but once everyone is done with their coaster, then you grade them from 1-10. Each judge has to grade each creation, and once this is done, I'll find each coaster's average, and add them up to the person's score table.
Representatees, this is something new. As these people are working on their recreations, you can help them whenever they need it, but do it positively, and don't tell them the wrong things!
Contestants, your job, is to try to make as good of a coaster as you can!
