Uhh whatever, junior moderator...since Blender is one of the modeling programs used to create custom scenery, this seems like an altogether appropriate forum for this question.

Lalla, Blender usually has a pre-installed script for importing 3ds file formats. If not, I recommend a Google search for it. As far as I know, I never downloaded a specific script to do this, but my version of Blender already lists the 3ds format in the Import menu.
