Well over the last few days I've been working on some new and good looking tropical trees.
Enjoy!

*WARNING* Hight poly count, only place around your paths, these do have a poly count of 350 a tree, so use weisly.
Has full and 1/4 tile placement.

Some more pics:
The tilted palms do make a great beach scene when at sunset.

Oh, wow. These kinds of trees were also sorely needed by RCT3. I love that tilted palm tree; it would look really nice right by the beach. It looks like there should be a hammock between them.
And they look really good with your custom paths! I suppose that's because they're technically defaults.

Thnaks...
Someone install these and open them asap. for some flippen reason they dont work on my damn computer, keeps crashing at 60% loading recorceses. Ive had it before and I completly re made the damn set and it fixed it not its all screwed up.
edit:
Please delete this set, it doesnt work.
The problem:
Crashes rct3 when loading at 60%
It is this set, None others.
Ive tried:
deleteing the set does help, but I dont want to place pretend trees...
Re importing
remaikeing the ovl files
remakeing everything except the skp models
renaming the text strings
asking god
asking my computer
It worked when i remade the set but out of the blue rct3 decided to just crash again....

Well, it crashed for me. Not that I can really help you at all, since I don't know RCT3 CS (yet, I am learning). But it did crash at 60% in the main loading screen.

My guess would be that it's some kind of texture issue, since I think that's what had caused my RCT3 to crash at the loading screen a while back.

Did you check to see if each scenery file was using a valid OVL? I know once I remade a bunch of OVLs but accidently renamed one from what it used to be called... so then it would crash on load?

lol, I was going to re-DL this set thinking I had a corrupt DL the first time, but after reading post #8, I see you are haveing problems with the set. I wish you luck on sorting this out & look forward to the fixed version.

Old Spice, I had the exact same problem as you and truly, the only way to solve it, is to re-install the game. I've had it happen to me twice, and as soon as I re-installed it, it was fine.

installing rct3 again? sounds a bit harsh...
all i can think is the textures have a slight issue, or a name that doesnt match...since you tried most other things, if you have been messing wiht the RCT3 files any then it might cause it, but then you would probably have to install rct3 again..

^I don't think his problem is CS-related, because the same exact thing happened to me twice, and I hadn't installed anything before it.

It happens with CSO as well when you make a dodgy set.
It was to do with icons and textures when I had the problem I think.

But its odd, that it worked for a little wile, no?
But i will try to reinstall rct3 and redownload another importer, then i will re export all the dam ase files and start all over again.

good I'm not the only CS creater with this problem, when I create a set and this problem accuars, it means (I think) that you edited the set to much, you need to start a new theme file and reimport it in a fresh start (in other words, don't you the same thm file, start a new one) then it works for me
I too have had this problem, I just started over again in the importer.

Have you used shared textures? I know, we should do that, but maybe this could create also an error. Have you tried if each palm work with "normal" textures?
BTW: Until you've fixed this problem, you should remove the download link from your first post ... you know, a lot of the impatient peeps download and install anything, before they read the whole thread.

These look really nice OS. I especially like the angled palms for the beach areas. Would definately make for some beutiful scenes. Hope you get your bugs worked out. Will download as soon as available.

I have had this problem before when making custom scenery with it crashing at 60%.
With me, it turned out to be something to do with my Icon References being incorrect.
Have you tried moving the folder for this pack to another location, to check if
it is this pack causing the problem?
Hope this helps.
I think OS is aware of the importance of correct references, titles etc. I have had some strange problems with new CS recently, which were fixed by using the latest version of the importer. v18beta, i think. It's vastly improved since v17.
Your tree sets are truly awesome, i really hope you get this resolved. There are a lot of smart CS pros around, as a last resort consider uploading the whole set, unimported, see if someone else can help it. Good luck.

Well i had referanced the textures, and the icons, I used 3 difernt ones. each one a 64x64 icon using auto referancing, like i always do. I never could get the icon sheets wo work properly... i dont think its that. I will try it with unreferanced textures, and ill move the location too.

The 60% crash means that the Style file is kaput, which usually means as several people pointed out trouble with the icon texture, icon references, text strings or scenery settings. The "easiest" way to fix this is usually to throw away your thm file and start from scratch.
Edit: On second thought, maybe I can do something about this. Wait for a bit please.

Odd, I already made a new .thm file, I deleted everything but the .ase files.
I imported the set the way i import everyhting else, I used auto refrencing. but I have to have the motivation to re make this damn thing. I had this same issue on my laptop with my plane set... but what do you know I import it on my computer and it works fine..

Hey, sorry to bring this thread back up, but
I am desperate to get these trees, is there any sign of getting them done, or are they in any of your other tree packs, you seem to be making lots of these days?
Thanks, and keep up the good work :)

No they gave too much trouble. If you wait, i might do them this weekend. Depends if I have another cs making urge like with the speaker rocks...

Oh, I can definately wait :)
What makes these so great, is that they blend in so-to-seem perfectly with the in-game palm trees; which means you can create endless posibilities :D
Anyway, take your time.
