Hello, It's me compressedAir, Im here to attempt my very first custom scenery set. A speedway Set for all your speedwayNeeds!. The first object i have just completed is a Tire entrance, similar to those at Rita and Stealth, But with a scrolling sign so you can put whatever text you want onto it.

Looks good. Great start! Perhaps a little texture on the side-walls that says a tire brand name, and some tire tread on top? :up::up:

Looks good as of yet.This,along with MickeyCA's road sign set:rolleyes:,makes
great scenery for Go-karts!:)

Thank you for all of your comments, I Have taken some useful tips from people onboard and slightly improved the tire.

The set so far consists of two tire entrances, One with Writing and one without.

Smooth the edges so it doesn't look so blocky.. That's what he meant.. ;)

Which modeling program do you use? (so your question can be answered better!)
I think he is using Sketchup. This is how I do it: Select what you want smoothed, right click, choose "Soften/Smooth edges." A slider tool appears and you can set that to 180.00, or whatever you would like it to be.

OR you just run your mouse over the lines with the eraser tool while holding the CTRL key..
