Park News - (10/29/08) With the removal of the Corkscrew coming soon, park crews have begun to clean out the site under the ride and discovered quite a few interesting items. The list of odd items found includes a lost prosthetic leg, underwear, a diamond wedding ring, 53 non-matching shoes and 604 watches, 237 cel phones, 800 pieces of jewelry and a prosthetic ear. The park is currently seeking the owner of the lost leg or anyone who might have information about it.

The whole thing I don't understand is, why didn't anyone report that they lost that stuff on the ride? You'd kind of need a prosthetic leg if you lost it, wouldn't you think?

They only reported the leg, not the ear or the diamond ring?

This is just weird.
So were these items were in a place where it was impossible to reach? Or do Alton Towers employees simply never check the ride area for loose articles?

^Nah the wacky worm would've devoured that...
I wonder how much money in small change they found...possibly enough for a new B&M, or some popcorn chicken if it's not quite enough.

What about the ear? You would notice that when everything became quiet, wouldn't you?

^ I'm not sure prosthetic ears actually do anything, as far as I know they are cosmetic.

David Ellis, was that YOU who lost your underwear? Gotta be careful with those naked coaster riding record holders, you know! :D

I'd wonder what it'd look like with the lights on in Space Mountain. Probably quite unexpected too.
