Last weekend I went down with two of my friends to the other park in my area, KI, for Fall Freakout, an event by ACE and KIExtreme (and no, none of us are Acers). It was a lot of fun, and let me say, I was definatly "freaked out" a few times during the trip, but I'll get to that later. Anyways, here are some of the pics I took.

We started off by checking in and getting some cool stuff like all-day drink wristbands, front of the line passes for some of the haunted houses, and of course, lanyerds.

VIP! Yay!

We saw the awsome Diamondback model they have at the enternce.

After checking in and waiting for the rest of our group, we were escorted through the park to X-Base for a half hour of ERT on Flight of Fear! I got in 4 rides. Two of them were with the lights on, which was pretty coll to experience. Things got a little on the scary side when I noticed that my VIP card came off my lanyard in the middle of ERT. Luckily, the op at the exit area of the ride found it in one of the trains.

We rode Firehawk next, and it was pretty good. Yes, it's a Vekoma, but it's probably one of the best Vekomas out there. No pain at all, and a fun, intense ride.

We went on Backlot Stunt Coaster next in the front since it was a one train wait. It was fun. Then we went on Vortex, in the front of the last car. It was actually pretty smooth, headbanging was almost non-existant. I think this is a relitively underrated coaster-it has a great first drop and some really forceful inversions as well as some hangtime.

After Vortex, it was time for a behind the scenes tour of Club Blood. We were taken by suprise, expecting it to be alot like Cedar Point's, which isn't really that grusome at all. However, we all thought that this was definatly pretty creepy. Blood everywhere (hence the name) but also the most realistic corpses I've seen. The looked real, and it was sorta disturbing to walk through them, even though it was with the lights on. We went through the attraction again, the second time with lights off and some of the effects on.

How about a nice cold Bud?

When we were finished with Club Blood, we ate lunch in the Festhaus. I got a Panda Bowl from Panda Express, and it was really good. Much better then most of the stuff they have to eat at KI. After lunch, we rode Adventure Express, which was ok. I noticed some theming in one of the tunnels which I had never seen before.

After AE, we went of The Crypt. I had never done KI's version before, so I didn't know what to expect. Despite the complete lack of theming inside the ride area, the ride was awsome. Mabye a little bit painful, but not enough to take away from the ride. I loved it, and it's probably my second favorite flat after Maxair now. There was a photo opportunity for Racer's first drop, so we went over there, and I got a couple decent shots.

We went on the carousel, which we had to ourselves. Then we met up with the rest of the group in front of the Eiffel Tower and went to Massacre Manor for another behind the scenes tour. This one is disorienting- basically impossible to tell where you are at times.

We went on the Beast/Diamondback tour next. Beast's backstage area is actually smaller then I thought it would be. It dosen't take a lot of walking. Same case for Diamondback's area. I pictured it being huge, but it really isn't.

You go right under Beast's supports to get to to its unseen side.
