I created a little chart because I didn't think I was getting uniform FPS on every map..And I was right..
These findings are based on my computer configuration...I don't have a top shelf system, but I don't think it's all too shabby..
Memory
3070 Megabytes Installed Memory
CPU
2.00 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache
Video card
NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT

I have a blank .wps copy of this chart if you want to use it for your own research.

Nice FPS research Dadfish! Some levels have more dynamic objects, this might be one of the reasons the FPS is different on some levels than others.
And your system is fine! With DHT graphics the game should be flying for you, but given the fact that it is one of the most lousy optimized engines on the game market not even my factory OC 9800 GT with 1 GB of ram can play this sucker with all on Ultra AND AA, it is plain frustrating, I have a Athlon 64 X2 3.0 Ghz 6000+ and 5 Gb of ram running on a very good Motherboard in Windows Vista 64-bit. I can play every high end game with max settings and AA, with no lag on my max resolution which is 1280X1024, and yet DHT is literally raping my PC. Also the graphics look horrible even in Ultra, they are very edgy on my 19 inch LSD, so AA is a must, but with the poor graphics optimization AA is impossible for me. :haha:

It doesn't matter how high end anybody's system is. Noboby is getting much past 40 fps. There is not allot of difference between ultra and low on a high end machine. but a difference shows on single core CPUs.
The lag problem def points to the engine optimization.
If I go from ultra to low, the fps goes from about 35 to maybe 40 but not even 1/4 of the trees and and no dynamic objects are drawing. That makes no sense whatsoever. Well, it does, but that mystery goes right back to the engine.

Without a serious patch that fixes these issues I doubt that DHT will have a bright future... I am pretty confident though that they will release a patch it wouldn't make sense if they let the game hanging where it is now... :weird:

That is exactly what I have been saying since day one, only in my case the difference has been no more that about 2 fps. Single core machine.
