In my opinion Deer Hunter Tournament is not good, if atari(since atari is in charge) would have released a demo of the game and i was to play the demo i would not even think about installing the actual deer hunter tournament on my computer.

I agree, i think the Deer hunter series is ruined, how many copies have been sold? how many hunters(players) are on the game on a daily basis? i suggest atari goes back to making 2D games or ones that still look pixelized for the atari consoles.

Surprising how you can get your account deleted from BGH for copying a message from there. BUT they can copy all the messages they want from here and other forums as they see fit.

Guys this forum isn't "gentlemen start your engines for reported posts". Lets look at what a post is first.

First off, a reported post is about a post that someone is posting inflammatory remarks, making trolling comments, posting inappropriate remarks (including pictures or video), illegal software discussion or being of poor general behavior. What was reported about someone starting something, there is nothing that can be clearly seen as an attempt to start something. Some side remarks may seem like its offensive, but mild rebuttals or lukewarm comparisons don't warrant an infraction. If a person is really making an issue, like calling you names, attacking you in a defamatory way and getting nasty, that is what should be reported.

I understand there are quite a few tempers that have been flaring lately, but things are improving. :up: We welcome reported posts and PMs. It alerts us to problems, but let's not get too itchy and misread some statements. :cool:

I am still looking for you guys to find some common ground here and move forward into a more cordial attitude.

Can any MODERATOR please explain to me how it is that I see members in these forums (including some Moderators), calling people names, purposly taunting people, bantering continually back and forth, continually working around the swear filter (or just plain ignoring it) and all the other crap going on in here and so far I have seen only TWO infractions given out for it?

Yet, I upload a picture to some other server (NOT ATARI) and posted an image link in my post (because ATARI's forums don't give you the option to upload an image), and because the file size was to big (for a file not even hosted on ATARI'S server) I get an infraction?

What is up with that?

If ATARI wanted more control over the size and kind of image files we can use on THEIR forums, then they should have included a file upload option for posting images in our posts instead of using an image link that would OBVIOUSLY point to some other server.

The server I uploaded it to has no trouble resizing the images before displaying them there, so maybe ATARI's web designer should go back to rewriting the code for these forums and recode it to resize ALL images to ATARI's ALLOWED SIZE!! Any good web designer would code an image resize into their page just to eliminate that issue (such as thumbnails until clicked on), because you cannot always rely on people to resize them before hand (case-in-point).

If ATARI did not want large size files to be displayed, then THEY should NOT be pulling the images from another server via an image link. Therefore, how can you issue an infraction for something that ATARI has no control over (i.e. image sizes on DIFFERENT servers not owned by ATARI)?

This is my OFFICIAL DISPUTE on the infraction I received, and I am requesting that that infraction be removed. The Moderator in question who issued the infraction posted a notice in the board right after I posted my image informing EVERYONE of the RULE, which was fine, I saw it and I took note. But then he had to issue me an infraction for it as well? I could see if I did it again AFTER THE WARNING, but come on!!!

It appears Skipper gave you that warning for quoting an image. It was just a warning to let you know about the rule, you're not really in trouble. Quoting images (especially large images) is against the rules, as it makes for a bad viewing experience.
