I find that in sketchup when creating circles the poly count jumps to extraordinary levels so i just add lines inside the circle to make it a hexagon, heptagon, octagon...etc...way easier at controlling polys with circles that way. I haven't used blender but that is a little tip I found out in my last set I created

As you cannot really control (in the sense of "see how many I have and get easily rid of surplus ones") polygons in SU at all, the only possible answer is Blender.

Did you know that if you click on the circle you drew so it turns blue and then right click your mouse, chose "Entity Info" it will tell you how many segments make up your circle? You can change that number and the circle will also change for you. This works for any curved line and is in fact easier than redrawing lines by hand.
@Belgabor: You can do this. But it's not as easy as SketchUp might seem to be.
@wabigbear: The easier way is just typing the number of sides wanted when seleceting the circle tool. That's what's the little text box in the lower right corner of SketchUp is for.
