Hello,
If I can play the DEMO with no issues. Does this mean I'll be able run the full version? Or is the cd/dvd version require a higher end PC? thank you

Generally speaking if you can play the demo, the full version will work.
If you get the full version, get it on disk, not via download. To my knowledge, there are no patches for the downloaded version.
Patch the disk version to 1.17, but do NOT patch the editor (for some folks it screws up the graphics).
Brewmaster visits here frequently, and can perhpas offer more insight.

Yup, like fleetp already said, there's no difference in performance between Silverfall's demo/full version. Btw, the starting area "Refugee Camp" is one of the areas with the highest requirements (there are others, too, like Silverfall-City), so if your computer can handle this, you should be able to play the complete game without big performance issues.
Judging from my personal experience with SFEA:
a. graphic card requirements can be scaled down well by going into the options menu and making the appropriate changes; this is valid as long as you avoid higher resolutions, like 1680x1050 etc.
b. the required cpu power cannot be evaded - if your cpu isn't capable of running the game smoothly, no matter what you do with the options it will not change much (there is an effect actually, but compared to a. it is much smaller). Note also that SF doesn't make use of dual-cores, therefore, running the game on a high end single-core cpu is an advantage over running it on a low end dual-core cpu.
My two cents ...
