Hey everybody, I have been working on this concept for a theme park for quite some time. I tried creating it in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 but it just couldn't do it justice, so I am going to present to you the real concepts for this park. No 1x1 squares or boundary limits, but the park in all its beauty using park layouts, concept art, ect, and you will get to see the changes and additions to the park while it happens. (please note that this is just for fun, there wont really be an Infinity Island park as long as I am not a billionaire haha).

The Site
First off let me show you the site that this massive park will take place in. The site resides in Tustin, CA. On an old Marine base. Currently portions of this site are being transformed into an urban shopping district called The Tustin Legacy. This addition will only take one corner of the lot and will help our visitors in the long run. The site also houses two massive air hangers, which are currently vacant and being used as movie sets and soundstages for various productions.

I intend on keeping one of these hangars and using it as a Hotel/Aviation Musem, staying true to its origional cause. The other hanger will be demo'ed for the addition of a new hotel resort, more on the hotel resort later.

The lot is massive, the whole site can fit 2 of the full Disneyland Resort in, and have room left over. The park it self will rival that of Epcot in sheer size.

Overview of the Resort

Let me start off by giving you the grand overview of the resort. The whole layout will remain the same, with the execption of the park layout, that will change and evolve into something much more realistic, right now its just in the early concept phases, you will be updated.

Shopping

Once guests park their cars in the large parking lot they will walk through a large themed shopping district (not like The Tustin Legacy which is next door). This shopping center will cater to tourists, and locals. More details later.

Hotels

The resort will open with two hotels. One Aviation themed hotel and one grand style hotel. The Aviation hotel will pay tribute to its housing which is a massive air hanger and feature airplanes on display as well as house a large and elegant museum. Each room will be fitted with model airplanes, and have props and aviation memorabilia. Each room will tell a story. The Grand hotel, is in early concepts and more will be developed later.

The Park

The centerpeice of this new resort is of coarse "Infinity Island", a park that will feature 4 major lands; Atlantis, Vistos, Forgotten Worlds, Research Center. I will go in depth on each land much later but I will tell you what to expect for each land.

Atlantis: A large towering structure located on the North Western corner of the park, will house this land. The entrance of Atlantis will be the icon of the park, this land will feature a Sunken Theater, A large Atlantis themed attraction as well as many shops and restaurants.

Vistos: A land ahead and behind it's time. This land will show what the earth will be like, as well as what it once was. It will combine the best of both worlds/eras and create an amazing location featuring some of the most astounding scenery ever constructed.

Forgotten Worlds: Where are we? When Are We? This land is any sci-fi lovers dream. It will feature 2 large attractions as well as much smaller ones, more later.

Research Center: This land will house many attractions, including a marine life center as well as weather research center, but watch out you never know when the weather will go all wrong. More details later.

The Resort as of November 29, 2008:

Nice idea, I'm interested to see how this turns out.

I've been thinking for a while now that I should design my own amusement/theme park idea, but I've never taken the time to do so.

Will there be any huge coasters?

Probably not, and all the coasters will feature stapling and headbanging.

not much actual "park" space. Seems the parking is really a lot larger than it needs to be.
What us "rockwork"?

That's a lot of parking lot for not a lot of park. :bulb:

Very true, I realized this lot is much bigger than I thought, You can almost fit the whole Universal Orlando Resort into just the park itself. The rockwork will be themed rockwork that circle around the northern edge of the park, to act as a "Berm" from the outside.

Here is a comparision between universal orlando and the updated park map

Major changes are going to be made haha.

I wish they were building a major theme park there. Tustin really needs something. :)

It's sad that they're building so many MORE homes and stuff... I like your concept a lot!

On a reality note, though. It would be nice they decided to keep one of the hangers.... In your concept will you keep one of them or are they both going down?

That's a really cool concept you have there. I really like how you planned the enterence plaza, with the shops in between the hotels and before the park. I also like how you situated and planned the layout to fit in that space. Can't wait to see how this develops!

Or...Disney could make a park there and connect it to DLR by monorail.

I am keeping one of them, and tearing one down. The one left standing will be used as a hotel with an aviation theme and history of flight museum.

No, I've been on a bigger coaster, Behemoth that I didn't get bashed up on. It was an awesome experiance. Its just because I've had afew bad experiance on other coasters that I tend to judge. Or whatever..

They must be expecting huge attendance with that big of a parking lot and two hotels connected to a shopping center. If you look more closely at the rockwork area, you'll notice that the path goes over/under it. So something's up with that.

Small update! I am currently working on the track layout and themeing to one of the coasters that will take place in the Research Center, called "Omega Storm" one of the biggest attractions in the park! I will keep you updated!!!!

Wow! Looking good. I have always wanted to do this. When I travel, I always look at big open fields saying, that would be a perfect place for a theme park.

Umm... I'm not so sure I understood...so will it be real or it's all just fantasy and never-come-true dreams of yours?

Do you honestly think a park idea posted on a forum by an eighteen year old during the current economic crisis is actually going to become real?

C'mon, use your common sense. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what "concept" means.

I tried, but it was too big haha. Anyway I've been working on some concept art for Atlantis, so expect that sometime in the next couple weeks, I have it all drawn out, I am going to import it to Illustrator, and add color.
