Ok. Before anyone rants...

I have read all of the threads. I have read all of the readmes. I have read all of the FAQs, and I have even attempted using the CTR Creator.

But I still cannot figure out how to use CTR cars ingame! I really just need a simple, detailed tutorial on how to get a premade CTR car into RCT3.

I want to use DasMatze's Eurofighter car for my rides. How do I get it ingame? Do I have to create my OWN CTR ride? I'm so confused.

Please help. If you know how to help me, don't pass this over.

Read the readme.

For the Euro fighter. Just copy the two folders into the main RCT3 directory. C:\program files\atari\RCT3. Copy them in and say yes to everything.

Wouldn't CTR's go into the Themed folder as well? If not, would vendors also go into the main RCT directory?

There's tracks and cars.

tracks go here:
C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\tracks\TrackedRides

cars:
C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\Cars\TrackedRideCars

*note, your directories may be a little different.

/\ They can also go into the CoasterCar directories. That's what I do to them.

But what about vendors? What do they count as?
PS - don't shove it in my face if one of the folders are titled 'vendors'...

I'm pretty sure vendors are installed the same as regular CS, but don't hold me to it. I haven't installed a set with vendors in ages.

OK!

I figured it out. The directions could have been MUCH clearer.

The folders "Cars" and "Tracks" that you must copy to the main directory are located IN the ORIGINAL "Cars" folder that pre-exists in the main directory. I was copying the original "Cars" to the main directory, and didn't see the point, as it already existed in there.

Now let's see if this comes together.

I do the best I can to make it as easy as possible. But I always seem to fail. You guys always outsmart me.

Download > Extract > Move folders to main directory > be happy. Of course there are is already a folder called tracks and one called cars otherwise there wouldn't be any rides in the game. That'd be a really boring game.

^ Thank you, DasMatze. Your amazing creations make up for your confusing directions. :D Your Eurofighter is truly the most wanted, most anticipated, biggest leap in RCT3 advancements we've had the pleasure to enjoy.

Follow Vodhin's suggestion:

empty temp internet files and any previous download- windows can sometimes assume that a download it already has is the one to keep.

Also, if you use any internet helper applications, like download accelerators, those might cause corrupted files, too.
