It looks nice but sorry to say it is almost useless in the game because it looks to have a ton of extra faces.
The 3D lettering is probably hundreds of excess polys for each sign. You could get rid of those hundreds and hundreds of extra faces if you used an 'alpha' texture for the lettering (it's a texture with a clear background, so all you see are the letters) and then stacking a few of them to add some depth.
When you exported the file from SketchUp didn't it tell you how many faces there were? A sign like this should probably be less than 100 faces tops.
Try the alpha sandwich idea, the sign background looks fine, it's just the letters that are going to be a big problem. Don't give up, it's great that you got your first item into the game!

They both have about 50 polys, and I know what an alpha texture is. And sorry to say I really don't need your CS either. Like I said, for the 100th time, this is my first CS, so give ME a break. I know you have an opinion, but sometimes you have to keep your opinion to yourself, to not make people feel bad or put them down. We don't want to push people away from CS, we w nt the CS community to grow, so we can have more freedom in the game.
Also, I just added a floor tile and a Park entrance

If you extruded those letters then they do NOT have 50 polys.

It said it when I exported it. Do you not believe me?

Give you a break? we are only trying to help you out. I agree with Wagi, I think they are also more than 50. A screenshot of the exporter message would be nice?

Wabigbear, does everything you say to me have to be negative

Coasterphan, Wabigbear was giving you solid advice, not being negative.
Also, you need to resize that second picture. I've resized the first using shot tags. Click on the edit button and replace the IMG tags with shot tags. Please don't use pictures that are larger than 800 x 600. Thanks.

I am cancelling this because of Wabigbear, not like anybody cares, especially him. And also
If you extruded those letters then they do NOT have 50 polys.
Does that sound negative to you?

No, no it does not. Mainly, because of all people, he and OldSpice know their facts.
If you are going to give up a project just because you got a little miffed about something someone said fine, but don't try to turn this around on Wagi.
He tried to help, but if you are to stubborn to listen, then so be it. If you can't finish a set because ONE person happen to get you all huffed up, then what is the point? Go ahead, continue working, but just drop this. Ok?

Unbelievable. How can one person become so juvenile just because someone with wisdom commented and offered to assist?
Coasterphan, I suggest you remove that huge chip off your shoulder.
